The Final series kicks off tonight with Roar hosting the Victory. When these two teams met in the Semi Final last season, the Roar blew a 3 goal lead to lose 5-4, will we see similar again tonight?

I reckon the Wanderers will win 1-3, and the FFA will have an orgasm at the thought of a Sydney Derby semi final.

Sydney and Melbourne derbies in week two. VAR will make it happen.

Penalty for WSW!

Enjoying being a neutral! These two teams so far ahead of us.Look like they've played together before. Know how they move the ball forward quickly. Play one touch on the deck and in the air.

Antonis makes it 0-1 to the Wanderers

I prefer Brisbane to win this.  Still got plenty of time to get a few goals.

Questions about the contact for the penalty aside, WSW really do deserve the lead at half time.

J-Mac evens it up with a tap in after Brisbane hits the post, 1-1. Game on

That's our VAR! Giving a foul as Theo picks up a pass after a massive deflection

FFS. Tommy Oar is on the bench for Brisbane. Depth. Holman starting. Sydney with Zullo et al. These are these are the kind of guys we need to attract for our squad to win championships.

Roar hit the defender on the goal line with an open goal to aim at, how do you do that?

Oar & Holman are on back loaded deals, they replace Broich and McKay as their marquees next season. We are not really in the position to do that.

ahh.

Gee. Dunno if they can afford to lose Broich and McKay. Oar and Holman are nice-to-haves, but Broich and McKay are the heart of the team surely?

Not sure I've ever seen a shot hit the cross bar twice, fantastic save by Janjetovic

Broich is off contract, hence the clapping at 22 minutes as this might be his last game. McKay has taken a small wage to be in the cap going forward.

Sotirio should have sealed the win there.

Great game, great football. What a ball from Broich! And what a save. And then up the other end. Wow...

Both sides have ACL games mid week, so this will be less than ideal for them

Theo off hurt, will Young be the hero the Roar need?

Young comes up big, fantastic save first up.

With pens looming, Popa subs of Santalab? Wtf?

some great pens so far

Roar thru after a shocking sudden death penalty by Jumpai. Roar will face the Victory next week, after a midweek trip to Thailand.

Tough on Jumpei. Should have been subbed instead of Santalab. His legs must have been held together by cramps. He looked completely stuffed in the second spell of extra time

what a game, some very good penalties until that last one. Victory will be mighty happy playing against a roar after they have just played extra time and have an away ACL game on Thursday night. They are going to be bugged

It is a must win ACL game as well, they have the Sunday semi final because of this.

Popa's substitutions utterly baffle me sometimes and no one ever seems to call him out on them.

Kinda gutted that WSW won't be losing another grand final again this year.

We will just have to look forward to either the Victory or City choking instead.
