Kamau has been poor all half but he takes his chance and gives City the lead, 1-0

City are just so slow with the ball, they get chances to on fast breaks but slow it up and look for a dozen passes that end back at the foot of the Keeper.

Kamau doubles the lead, 2-0

City gets the points, 2-0. Solid but uninspiring performance by City

when do we play brisbane, they were complete rubbish tonight. That guy up front had a touch far worse than Hamish Watson.

Joe Champness on the bench for the Jets, he is one to watch out for.

Asdrubal opens the scoring for CCM 1-0. An Ernie Merrick side conceding at a corner, who would have thought?

CCM concede a penalty!! O'Donovan goes down in the box and wins a chance to level things up

1-1, this could be a cracker

Good to see Joe Champness carrying his form from pre season to the league. Hudson better talk to the kid before Australia take him.

How did Moss go?  I really want our best form keeper between the sticks in November and one who is STARTING in the MLS or A League.  If Marinovic does that great, if he bench warms or plays reserves it really should be Gleeson or Moss.  Hudson needs to put his Hubris aside for November.

Every other team so far seem like they were playing in slow motion compared to Victory and Sydney.

can't believe I just watched a merrick team there. Newcastle attacked more and played more forwards passing than the Phoenix did in three years. No eternal passing back to durante like we are used to suffering. And they had a bloody centre forward and hit some great long and high balls! They were a pleasure to watch, although the penalty was soft. Ref way to lenient with the cards, one should have gone off at least. CAMs finishing was woeful, they had a fair few chances.

In the ccm v jest game, o'Donovan should be retrospectively banned for his dive for the penalty. Horrible shark that ruins the game. As for the big blue, I thought Syd were on the ropes most of the match. They certainly didn't play very well and lucky to come out with the points. I though vic looked much more assured.
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Why didn't Moss play for the Jets?

Wasn't he supposed to be their new #1?

.. might as well have gone to Japan ...

Duncan has been their #1 all thru preseason, dunno why Hudson thought he might be the starter.

WSW 2-0 up against Perth.

Best football of the weekend. On that first half performance the rest of the teams should be  very worried.

They have played about a dozen preseason games, so no excuse to not firing from Round 1. But they are gonna be Sydney's biggest challenge for the title, Popa assembled a fantastic squad
