Can the Jets keep their hopes for the top 6 alive? Or will WSW find a way to close out a win?

Another wet game for WSW, they have had a terrible run with their home games.

Pet Rat curls one in with his left foot, 0-1

Hamill with an excellent assist to the assist.

The Hoff, 0-2. WSW are in a massive hole here

Saw some harsh words and finger waggling between Hamill and Yeboah even before that 2nd goal. Their morale is rock bottom.

Babbel has no qualms about throwing his players under the bus, much like DK did with us. Maybe that works in Europe but it just ruins any confidence players have in the A-League.

Interesting that he persists with Riera who has been and continues to be absolutely pitiful. I simply can't understand how he continues to get game time. His body language is disinterested and defeatist and when he loses out in a challenge he just stops and looks pissed off. Surely that must have an effect on the rest of the team.

Dead set pen that. Snakes saves the first shot but ROD taps in the rebound. 0-3

And another one! Wish I'd been keeping count.

First pen awarded to Jets this season.

Kossie reckons it wasn't a pen cuz he got more of the ball. Not sure what match he was watching, that was a dead set pen. No idea what Tokich was thinking going in like that in the box.

Matty!! 0-4.

Maybe Babbel can solve two problems by putting Riera in goal. Even a motionless Riera would have a better chance of keeping the ball out of the net.

I was tempted to put money on a draw, before the game, now I am glad I missed the chance. Dear me, what shambles WSW have become this season.  No Poppa, no Lowy, and no hope.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Tokich does another foul in the box, penalty! ROD converts, 0-5

Duke with a header from the corner, scores with his first touch in a Wanderers shirt. 1-5

Great goal, good on him!

WSW are actually terrible. Babbel has to be getting the axe after this result.

Bottom 3 surely out of the running for the 6. One win between them all in the past 10 rounds. And people were calling for #NixOut?

Strange game that, Jets score 5 goals but we really average. WSW gifted them 3 goals.

Probably Matty's best game for the Jets tho.

No Roux for the Victory tonight.

Hoole puts CCM ahead 1-0, 10th time they have scored first this season.

Permalink Permalink

CCM could easily be 3-0 up here, only Thomas keeping the Victory in this.

Permalink Permalink

And Hoole has done it again, 2-0!!

If this season's history is anything to go by MV will run them down in sight of the finishing line.

Toivonen not 100%, is on the bench. Missed exactly what's wrong with him.

Too many people on here have rubbished CCM all season. As I mentioned last week we have to play them again and it would be a big mistake to think we just have to turn up. They are not bunnies and probably deserve more than the table shows.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Subbing out Hope at half-time seems to often work well for Victory!
