Season 14: Week 3

We kick the weekend off with the Battle of the Sky Blues. 

Can Sydney pick themselves back up after the disappointment of the midweek FFA Cup Final loss? My money is on no, City by at least 2 tonight.

First game I'm able to watch this season. I'm excited!

City XI: Galekovic (GK), de Laet, Delbridge, Schenkeveld, Jamieson (C), Brattan, Baccus, McGree, Berenguer, Vidosic, Fornaroli

SUBS: Birighitti (GK), Griffiths, Caceres, La Rocca, Wales

SUBS: Cisak (GK), Calver, De Silva, Devlin, Lokoli Ngoy

I am not sure what to make of the Sydney FC perfomance in the post-Arnie era so far.  Last season my money would be on them to beat City by a safe margin. Tonight I am picking a draw.

You'd think Sydney will run out of puff after their exertions the other night. That plus the heat and I can't see anything but a City win. 

Watch that prediction blow up in my face!

ALF shows his quality there. Most A-League strikers in that position would have tried to shoot whereas he summed it up nicely and played a simple pass. Amazing what happens when you spend money on actual footballers...

Not the start to the game I expected, Sydney have come out on fire

City are just way too slow with the ball, its been noticable in the first two rounds but its really hurting them tonight

Dario really should have leveled things up

Plastic City have completed a lot of passes, some of them have even been forward. Has Fornaroli touched the ball?

And pair of sausage rolls, 0-3. Too easy by the original Sky Blues

looking at Zullo and de Laet and thinking of Louis and Cacace. No disrespect to say there's a gap.

Geez that was easy for Goodwin, 0-1

2-0 and can't say Adelaide are that dominate.

May as well just not have VAR at all if they aren't going to use it at all.
