The round kicks off with 'the Original Rivalry' between Adelaide and a Kurz-less Victory.

Ah, the days of Kosmina and Muscat going toe to toe on the sidelines.

This will be interesting. Neither team in a great headspace at the moment.

God I hate VAR and the lengthy stoppages that come with it.  I'd rather have the mistakes from refs

Although this is actually one of the rare cases when VAR has done exactly what it was originally designed for: to correct a howler.

Should that have been a penalty for Kruse? I'm leaning  towards yes

A lot of very poor quality football on display. Wondering if the surface has a bit to do with it. It seems very hard and fast.

What kind of Victory team is this when you are subbing on nonentities like Hope and Athiu to try and change the game? Marco could practically name his price right now.

I feel for him a bit. He was devastated at the end. There is a lot to like about his game and I respect the way he went away, worked hard and turned himself into a decent A League footballer but you are right, he isn't right for this MV side. Mind you, the same thing could be said about a lot of those players, especially the imports.

For a Ref on A-League debut, I thought Jacewicz did a very good job last night. She was barely noticeable, which is always a good thing for a Ref. Admittedly there wasn't much heat to the contest, so that helped a lot.
