Oh goodie, Brenton Speed again. I've so missed his voice these last 24 hours.

...And another pet gripe, is it too much to ask that an advertised 5pm kickoff might actually take place at 5pm?

This has been a good watch so far, not many quality chances created yet tho

The more I see of WU the more I think they are well and truly playoff contenders, providing Diamante stays fit.

They can't break down WUN's defence tho, just like us they are resorting to hopeful lobs into the box.

Is that the Iranian referee I've been reading about? He's having a good game, love a ref with a personality who doesn't give in to players whinging or diving (Diamanti...)

I think there's someone from that Thorndon Terrace with the Perth away support, good stuff.

finishes  1-1, Perth really struggled to break WUN down, back 3/5 worked well with Kurto making some great saves.

Second half was a lot better to watch. Hate to say it but WU looked like us last season in patches. Lots of one touches, good diagonal runs, overlapping fullbacks... They more than held their own

WU were pants in the first half, decent in the second!

Duric scores a high quality goal after 4 mins for CCM to be up against Newcastle.

There seem to be kiwis in every game I've watched so far; in this game Stensness for CCM and Ridenton for Newcastle (and I think McGlinchey is on the bench for CCM?).

Stensness is already far better than Ridenton - one of the best on the pitch so far, disappointing he didn't stick with us.

Newcastle look like they will be bottom, to me. CCM have good structure, I reckon theyll push for the 6.

ccm wont ever get much further than 7th for mine, Simon is a cock and is way past his goal scoring best, they are essentially where old crappy aussie players go to retire.

Weemac's not an Aussie though. Hasn't his career sadly nosedived. AW days over, you'd have to think.

That's pretty piss poor.

The football community in Canberra must just be shaking their heads.

Team coached by Rudan only able to play half a game of convincing football? Sounds exactly like us last year.

It's not really what I saw. First half was dull but that's because WU defended so well that they barely gave Perth a sniff. Already in two games they have shown they have the ability to sit deep and soak up pressure or change up the gears, press forward with those wingbacks and cause problems. Looks to me like Kone, Diamanti and McDonald are well and truly going to reapay their investment too.

Yeah, as soon as Western started pushing their fullbacks forward in the second half, the game opened up and became far more enjoyable. I get the feeling they are gonna win a few games 1-0 this season, get the early goal and then sit back like they did vs us.

Adelaide with a 4 man bench despite taking a number of kids with them to Melbourne. Strange.

Not sure what to expect in this game, they have the FFA Cup Final during the week, so may not want to give too much away.

City hit the post, they are well on top here early

Ball falls to J-Mac in the box again and it's 2-0. Adelaide is a mess at the back.

2 for J-Mac. Park the bus vs Sydney today and we're off the foot of the table!

Brilliant!

And thanks for that, I was wondering. It looked sparse and it was very quiet.

Is this plot to do with possession in the attacking 3rd, or what other factors are in it?

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Shots on goal. The bigger the jump, the higher the expected chance of scoring from it.
