Season 6 of the A-League comes to a close, and what a season it was! The rise of the Roar, several up and coming stars were born, record breaking scorelines, sadly the fall of the Fury, the Phoenix making the playoffs for the second year in a row, and the most exciting Grand Final in the history of the A-League! I reckon that rates as one of the best, if not the best, season of football since the A-League was born.

Has to be the best year, and I completely agree with you in terms of youth development. Almost every club has had young guns stepping it up and looking to the future.

Adelaide- Leckie signs with german club, and guys like Ramsay emerge
Roar- Kosta, Nicholls etc stepping it up and winning league
Central Coast- Amini set for german trials, Ibini looking good, Ryan!
Gold Coast- Youth team again winning awards at youth level
Heart- Young gun Zahra starting to step up
Victory- Kruse stepping up and getting aus callup
Newcastle- Jesic was ok at times
Fury - Cernak and Malik looking good
Perth- Um they tried with youth..
Sydney- Young Petratos looking great, and Antonis signed at 16
Nix- Rojas ripping it up.

Crowd attendances were the only real disappointment for the overall league. A lot of fans whom have drifted away have missed out on some great footie and the final was what it is all about. The crowd, the tension, the excitement. (Bill Lawry?)
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!
