meh played well but he only got that cause NQF are rubbish, the wooden spooners this season.
Ifil and Greenacre will do better for us long term, still its good to see that he has scored some goals not from the spot. disco_mart2009-08-15 22:04:06

NZ has scored 4 out of the 7 goals in the A-league this weekend thus far.

Two of those goals were quite lucky.
The keeper got his hands to to ball for his penalty.
And he got quite a deflection for his third.

Gotta agree with this. Not a great penalty and the third was absolutely all luck. He didn't have the pace to go round the defender plus his touch was awful so he cut inside and gets his shot deflected along ground into the bottom corner. The only thing that keeps me happy is their crowd was pretty awful.

At one stage there were 5 ex Knights, Phoenix players on the field during the game!

Doesnt matter at all how they got in, who they got past and how many they touched on the way
They are all in the bloody book, they all count, "lucky or not".
Hopefully we will have a few more of those lucky goals

"Smeltzy is great striker and unfortunately for us an offer will probably come some time," Bleiberg said.
"We have an arrangement and when the right offer comes we will congratulate him, he is 27 and we will not hold him back.
"It is our job to produce good players and help them through their careers."

GCU can offer Semltzy what we never could though and that is a quality CM who will feed him great ball, will make him a better player. But agreed I can't see him being at GCU next season, I can hardly seem him being there all of this season either but will wait and see.
McGlinchey/James aren't same class as Culina but would be magic to see him getting good quality delivery from the middle of the park as well as from Leo on the flanks for AW's
