Pretty dull so far - probably not really helped by the horrible pitch

the wrong Muscat was lucky not to get a red after he did a bit of a karate kick on Thompson

This match will either end in a draw or one of them will nick it late on.

Three for me, and two for them.

Crap, Matt Thompson scores. 1-0 Newcastle.

Wouldn't be a good result for us

Penalty awarded after Jets player man-handled Kruse (Stefan willl be ever so jealous) in the box.  Easily converted so it's 1-1 and Jets are down to 10 (was a second yellow).

Picking a couple more Melbourne goals.

His first yellow was even stupider.

Moss would have stopped that penalty

It's the heat. Cracks the skin.

Can someone please - PLEASE - tell me why players take off their shirts to celebrate when they know it's a straight yellow?  Completely and utterly mindless and makes you look like a tool, even if there wasn't a booking involved.

Yellow Card for shirt-off celebration.  At least he didn't elbow someone off the ball, but still not too bright.  Suppose it may be the heat again!

They probably don't think about it when they do it. I suppose you have scored a goal in a professional league before and know what it feels like?

I think you know that I haven't, but I don't think that matters.  99.9% of players who score goals in professional leagues DON'T do it...

Putting shirt onto a flag and waving it around was't exactly the coolest celebration either...
