And they're all related.

Three for me, and two for them.

In the long term it would be great for Tassie to get a team.

It would, but they have been crying for an AFL also for years,

Tassie also has a strong north-south rivalry as well. Launceston and Hobart hate each other apparently.

In Hobart, you drink Cascade beer, in Launceston, you drink Boags beer.

Both good beers, but loyalty to each is dependent on where you live there.

For the rest of us, it's just 'good Tassie beer' either way.

In saying all that, if the AFL give a team to Hobart, then the A-League should give the Tassie team to Launceston. The opposite shall apply if the AFL team goes up north Tassie.

AFL in Launceston @ York Park, A-League in Hobart @ North Hobart Oval (or a new rectangular stadium). Which means I (hopefully) would get to drink Cascade when supporting the Nix away. Sorted

Something about Tasmania United doesnt sound right... maybe they should go for something else. Kind of like how instead of Townsville they went with Nth Qld.

That's not football though? Why are they called a football club?

Because they've been hit on the head by a red oval ball too many times...

...or in this case, heads
