Keepers can move sideways but not forward.

That was awesome, was hoping for the shoot-out, love me a good shoot-out. Am glad Brissy got it, they have deserved it all season. How about Matt Ryan? That kid is fantastic, I can definitely seeing that kid being first team keeper for Australia in the future.

10/10 grand final.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Between him and Langerak, they look set for the future. Ryan has impressed me more tho.

Your right about the keeper. Very unusual for such a young guy.

Deaf? Smaller crowds in the Championship are more vocal. All it sounded like was a mass 'mutter', 50k people talking about what theyre going to eat for dinner later tonight all at once or something

The Den were rowdy as ever, however they became unsurprisingly quiet when the Mariners scored their second.

This thread is quality reading, I can only imagine the angst/rage/disbelief that occurred elsewhere. What a final, one for the so-called 'purists' who won't watch a-league football because it's not the epl

Still buzzing from that, what a football match. If someone was to watch football for the first time, that match would of been perfect!

Props to the Roar, what a stunning comeback. Gotta feel for the Mariners though, you'd have put your house on that with 4 mins to go.

Go the A-League.

Like I'd been saying, if Brisbane hadn't got this it would've been a complete travesty.

Great drama and entertainment though.

Brisbane certainly deserved to win it, after the wonderful season they have played.

However CCM deserved to win it also, as they came the closest any team has got to ending the Roars unbeaten run, they shut them down during regular time and then made the vital breakthrough in ET.

By the time the penatly shootout began, I didn't mind who won anymore, either result would have been a good outcome in my opinion.

Now over to the FFA to hopefully not f*ck up the great advertisment for football in Australia. For some reason I don't trust them though...

did anyone else notice Kosta was holding a cute little kid during the moment silence and anthems? Is Kosta a dad? The little kid was wearing a roar shirt with "cuz" on the back.

oh and did Paul Ifill really win the Alex Tobin award last year? I must have removed this bit of info from my memory cause when the list came up I was shocked, didn't carlos hernandez win it or was that another award?

I know that, I was replying to comments saying that Theo broke the rules by moving before the ball was kicked in the shootout.

They are allowed to move along the line, they are not allowed to move off the line, i.e. forward, before the kick is taken

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.
