Half time

Adelaide 1 - Western United 3

It's carnage at Coopers. Midfields AWOL, defences you could drive a truck through, another goal for Max, Kurto out for the count. Hope the 2nd half is just as good.

WU look like top 6

5-1 now.

Did they get paid a couple of weeks ago or something?

2nd half shaping pretty well. 5-1 to WU! Still over 30 minutes to play.

Western Union finally paying out on attack, helped by some woeful play from Adelaide - shades of CCM in their defending tonight, porous at best...

Very damaging for Adelaide this though. Was hoping for a draw in this one. Should've realised Adelaide don't play that way.

Definition of desperation: bringing a 15 year old on when you are 5-1 down.

Game has gone very scrappy since Snakes went 5-1 up.

Both these sides have a pretty tough run in. Adelaide probably more so, the scrap for 5th and 6th looks like it'll see-saw right the way till the end of the season.

WU have Berisha. Adelaide have Opseth.

Not a reflection of the game. WU were not 5-1 better.

Adelaide are a pretty decent side.

Adelaide are a pretty decent side.

That GA of 39 is pretty concerning though. More than second bottom Jets, only CCM with 43 is worse. Verbeek talks the talk but there is no sign he is finding a fix for that defensive mess and morale is leaking away.

Conversely Rudan's name was mud just a few weeks ago, now it's all hugs and high fives with his players.

Rojas embarrasses the Sydney defence, 1-0 MVC

Lovely Rojas

That's what he's paid the big bucks for! Brilliant.

Ref left his cards at home?

I reckon Victory will be a dangerous top 6 opponent.

Permalink Permalink

Could be 3-0 by now.

Kamsoba's finishing is a joke. And they've paid for it.

Ninkovic. woah. so classy.

Him and Rojas on the field on the field at the same time, up there with 2 of the best players the league has ever seen. pretty cool to watch.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

He's a great little player to watch when he's on song, but the lack of a a finish is killing MV. He's not just missing chances but butchering them wholesale. They need goals from him; not talking about a dozen but at least 4 or 5 a season. That's all it takes to make a difference.

Good match

God, that is feeble from Gallifuoco. Good for a yellow card and not much else.

Sydney 2nd goal reminded me of a Krishna/Williams finish from last season.

Marco off, Athiu on. That's a white flag right there.

Wouldn't have made a difference to the result but thought that pen and red card were harsh. Looked to me like Hoogland managed to get body position in front of Buhagiar, who bounced off him. Anywhere else on the field that's not even a foul.

How mental.

If you want to call it a foul, the barge is outside the box, and never a red.

Glory pulled one back. Apart from the score not a lot in this.

Perth showing their class, they got another one. 2-3.

getting closer now, city may be losing the momentum and giving the ball up too often

Come on Perth. One more. (And only one more, thanks, unless City score again).

Permalink Permalink

Perth unlucky to lose that.

After his howler a few weeks back it was nice to see Glover help cement the 3 points with that fantastic save on to the bar.

Cracking game that.

Kotahitanga. We are one.
