Such good goals! 3 - 0 to WSW at 1/2-time.

They have played Adelaide off the park.

Too be fair i thought Adelaide were pretty shit the last two times we played them, we were just more shit. And now look completely shit. I honestly dont know how Adelaide are at the top of the table.

Even Kresinger scored. He's hilariously inept yet I feel kind of pleased for the old lunkhead.

Fingers crossed this turns into 6-0 drubbing.

 Ho ho ho!

5-0

Bridge's hattrick leaves us as the only A-League team without one. Must say its fantastic seeing the Reds smashed!

Do Adelaide have two away kits?

For our first two season we cut the Nix loads of slack because we were a new team that didn't have much time to form etc etc. The Wanders are a brand new side that only had 6 ??? months to start. Well they are in fourth position and are thrashing one of the top side 5-0..So whats our excuse this year?

Hehe, 6 - 1 now. When did the A-league get so awesome to watch?

Some really good goals from WSW too, not just shit Reds defence. Hersi and Mooy are high class.

Best game I've seen from Bridge too.

We using this thread for the 2nd game? Not sure who I want to win, but another high scoring game would be great to watch. Hope Smeltzy can get a couple.

Permalink Permalink

Smeltzy probably should have put his chance away. He really hasn't looked that great so far this season.

Was just thinking he looks sharper tonight than he has all season. To be fair it was a very good save from Theoklitos.

Great strike by McGarry

Yeah, thought McGarry had blown that when he got the ball caught under his feet but a cracker of a strike.

We had even less time than the Wanderers to put together our squad, and WSW have a whole bunch of perks from the FFA to help them out, such as the 7 import slots.

A few teams released players from contracts also, think Sydney are regretting a couple of them now.

Roar have been frankly dreadful so far. They are disorganised and lethargic, in contrast to last week when I thought they played with good purpose to get a valuable away point in Melbourne. Which leaves me puzzled as to why Rado I'm-thrilled-to-be-sacked Vidosic wasn't given a little longer to turn things around.

Didn't get to see last week, but was Nichols playing? He had such a great year last season but didn't get his move to Europe he wanted. Wonder if he isn't happy, and it's showing by his performamces on the park.

Browny got released from Newcastle to come to us in Season 1 as well. There may have been others but I can't remember.

Nichols is a notorious hissy fit chucker both on and off the park. It's not just him though. You've also got Portaloo mouthing off about being overlooked for the Socceroos, even though he has been unbelievably poor in comparison to last season. Throw in the Berisha factor and you've got some seriously unhappy campers, which definitely hasn't helped with team unity. That said, as I say, the signs were last week that they were starting to click.

Perth are getting into a nasty habit of trying to defend a 1 goal lead for the whole second half. They are just sitting back, letting the Roar come at them. It's already cost them a few games this season.

That's twice I would have backed him to score. Just doesn't seem to be as clinical inside the box as normal. Wanna see him starting to fire, but that means the Glory will be doing better. Bit of a double edged sword.

My heart wants him to score but my head wants Roar to equalise.

Perhaps their coach Tony Popovic may have had something to do with it.

While I think Popovic has done great job in putting his squad together, trying to compare the way the Nix performed in their first season to them is not a fair comparison, since FFA did everything they could to help make the Wanderers competitive. A better comparison would be between the Nix and Heart/Fury in their first season, and we performed on a similar level to both of those sides in their first season.

I was not comparing us with anyone, just making the point about Tony P.
