Yellow Fever League - Third Edition
Love your work Tegal. Hopefully we can get everyone back in here and into the next Friendly League, especially now that the season is starting again and the forums have been fixed.
I'll start hassling people to re-join tomorrow! haha
Shambles! IBU being kicked out has removed those fixtures from the league, meaning I lost six points for beating him twice. The game between Peow and IBU never happened, so is a shambles. I dropped to 3rd, which is now in the relegation zone.
Oh yeah, forgot that would happen. Only fair thing I can think to do is treat peow vs IBU as a default. Which sucks for you in the sense that peow moves to 2nd,but IBU finishes in relegation zone.
Fair? It's probably slightly more realistic.
We don't need to count it as a default, as ALL results involving IBU have been discounted. Giving Peow points for that game would be a seventh extra match for him. I'll just take it on the chin. Let's say that IBU was "relegated", so only 3rd place still stays in Div 3.
Ah I meant keep the table as we have above in this thread, and add last nights results to it with the IBU game being a default. I planned on just inserting theprofs new team in instea of IBU anyway.
I think either way,the end result is:
Peow promoted. You stay where you are. Theprof relegated.
Yep. It's annoying for me, but it's the fairest way to do it.
Division 1:
Possibly the biggest upset since we began these leagues helped paraparaumu Disjointed complete the great escape with a 1-0 win over second placed Thunderthighs United! An S.Rich red card in the 71st minute was the turning point as central defender W.Cable popped up to score the winner 3 minutes later. Link: http://trophymanager.com/matches/46075094/
In the other game Racing Club North Shore were unable to pull off a similar upset to save their season, going down 4-0 to Tegal. Link: http://trophymanager.com/matches/46075093/
Division 2:
A bit of controversy in division 2. An epic finish wasn't to be as Island Bay being banned meant the crucial game against Peow FC couldn't go ahead. This resulted in Peow FC being awarded a default win that sent them ahead of the unlucky Tawa FC - who had the bye.
Wellington United were unable to get the win they needed to avoid the wooden spoon, going down in a tight game 2-1 against Battle Hill FC who dominated division 2 this season. Wellington United hopes were up after going into halftime with a 1-0 lead. But Battle FC showed their class in the second half to take the win. Link: http://trophymanager.com/matches/46076787/
Division 3:
Tawa AFC took out division 3 with a far from dull 0-0 draw against Khandallah lokomotiv. The trains hatred for all things Tawa saw them throw everything at Tawa FC trying to win by the 3 goals needed to hand Wellington Phoenix the title by Goal difference. Both goalkeepers had great games in an intense affair that disappointingly ended 0-0. The game deserved a dramatic winner, but it wasn't to be. Link: http://trophymanager.com/matches/46061761/
My form wasn't too good at the end of the season as well
so really lucky to be going up.
Wellington United have had back to back relegations in
this league.... It blows

Welcome to my world mate.
Relegation and then bottom of Div 3.
We're the worst team, in the league...

Chew, chew...
Meanwhile Tawa FC were a whisker away from being in division 1! Where is the justice?
Although we almost make it to Div 1, Tawa FC have finished third in divison two twice in a row! Yay for midtable mediocrity.
Time to see if we're a minor league team or one that can match the big boys of div1 bring it on !
You need to accept the invite first :p
