Too many Sunday games again, and they are not even spread out? The first 3 months of the season is pretty much all Sundays, before finally getting to Friday/Saturdays towards the end of the season. Why has this happened again??

I think the answer to this is pretty obvious when you consider:
1. the Lions season ends in late October
2. Westpac stadium gives priority to rugby

nuff said .... except its a crock of sh*t of course!!

Fri/Sat/Sun games never made a diff to crowd numbers last year, it's an excuse that didn't wash with me. Either go or don't go! Sunday games were at a reasonable time for me to take the family and still get home early.
I wanna know what the concert is.............

Read in Dompost this morning that members get into the Palmy and Chch games free.

Free, wouldn't that depend on the price of the season ticket?

Its a good thing if its included in the cost.
Now just have to make sure i can get out of work 5 sundays this year and I'll be getting myself a season pass. Already planning my Palmy trip and melbourne in jan

Fury ended up with the best draw of the lot. 11 Saturday games. Free or Pay, Palmy game should be a decent trip.  Fans from the Bay will flood down for that one too.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Oh I dunno, Tauranga/Rotorua is a fair trip to Palmy

(Yeah I know, there's another, lesser "the Bay" that involves Napier and Hastings...)

Yes, I was assuming the season ticket would be the same price as last year, so any increase would effectively mean it's not free.

Agree with that. Wouldn't mind if it is free. but there is a differnce being chargred an extra 30 bucks in the membership and getting in free.

Just got the email from Tamara, (first name basis as I feel as if I know her), and yes, same price as last year so the two away games are indeed free.

I would suspect that season ticket prices stay the same and members will get discounted tickets for games in Palmy and Chch.

Not exactly. What I mean by free is that the Palmy and Christchurch games are part of the season tickets. In efffect this year you get 13 games. For exisitng members who sign again within the first two weeks then they will get last years prices. Outside that they will have to pay a small increase. More info to come

Why are there no Saturday afternoon games in the A-League? Surely this is the traditional time for football?

Jealous of Fury fixtures though, 11 Saturday fixtures! WTF!

I think the Fury have mostly saturday night games to counteract the heat.  Better at night than in the arvo

Sorry Tony P.  I was assuming everybody here would be those signing back up as soon as possible.

That is fantastic of the Nux for you guys to pay last years prices, for more home games.

Wait for Virgin Blue to have a sale and you can get to Christchurch for $25 one way...

Those two games should get a lot of people for the one off effect. It was a great move  by the Nux and crucial for their ongoing survival. A lesser club such as the Kingz, should have come to Wellington more when they got the crowds all those years ago. Wellington are learning from the mistakes of the past...
