I'm guessing Round 10 is postponed because of World Cup Qualifiers.

Two Saturday games to be played out of wellington. BUt all in all not a terrible draw better than last season. Just gotta pull 4 or 5 sickies for Sundays. last year was like 8

more saturdays and fridays would be better for the RoF. and i think good yellow fever support at the matches in palmy and christchurch could be key to help gain support for th nix. yellow fever zone creates a completely differnt atmosphere to other sports in n.z and its important to show the nix fans in those other areas what its likeserepisos4nix2009-04-20 15:30:42

More Fridays and Saturdays. Marvellous.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Exactly, hopefully show the locals what vocal support is. I always found rugby supporters bloody boring, e.g. Manawatus rugby chant "Go Green" . Wake them up, same goes for the chch types.

Fever on tour...

All aboard the magic bus!!!

Palmy and Churchur are a given......internal NZ tours will be a right royal hoot if TDubs NZFC final trip 2008 and Nix vs Waitakere last season are anything to go by.....

Jagerbombs perhaps.....?

Anybody know what the Etihad stadium in Melbourne use to be called?
Pity the Rectangle stadium isn't a goer for any of this season's Melbourne games.

They usually get one of the biggest crowds of the season there.

Very good draw - good mix of days / times.

Considering it must be a hell of a job trying to balance every teams preferences and TV considerations well done the FFA  -  and Tony P for getting more Friday and Saturday games.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Also note that the kickoff times for the Sunday games are earlier than last year so should get the family crowds along.

I've just been up Napier for the weekend. There's heaps of Nix fans up there and their maine complaint is the Sunday games.

If they were on a Saturday, there'd be a stack of fans making the trek down, but Sundays with work on the Monday is just a killer for them. Who wants to get home around midnight for an early morning start. I hope the club have considered this. I mean we are missing out on some decent numbers not currently attending.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Great draw, hoping I can make a Queensland trip for rounds 9 and 11 against the newbees and another trip for Melbourne round 24, with Perth round 23 possibly thrown in as well

Too many Sunday games again, and they are not even spread out? The first 3 months of the season is pretty much all Sundays, before finally getting to Friday/Saturdays towards the end of the season. Why has this happened again??

09/10 Draw for Google Calendar/Outlook/Thunderbird/Whatever

ICAL format - http://www.google.com/calendar/ical/5pndfv1amrtpbdthakdqt2bjic%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics

Notes: Queensland Roar listed as Brisbane. Matches at FMG and Lancaster Park are uniquely marked with (PN) and (CH). All times are local, so make sure to convert before setting MySky or whatever.

Lemme know if I've made any errors or if there's any problems, as I haven't tested this yet.

yea agreed. its not that there are too many sunday games lie last year, its that there all together! why? first 2 months its all home sunday games?!?! at least spreed them out, or have them over the hot summer holidays ,where out of towners can go, but not during the term for every week.

apart from that liking the away home games. good to spread the game around. there is a huge fan base in the south island so hopefully all SIders will come

As I am now living in Adelaide and flights to Nuxland are so cheap. I am looking at flying over to Wellington in November for Glory.

EDIT - Further research has answered my question. All will be revealed at the FIFA Congress in the Bahamas. Egan2009-04-20 22:54:03
