Seen some of the other kits and they look exactly the same, just with a different maker...weird.

^Local brands ftw!  Personally, I wouldn't have minded if Canterbury had gotten the Phoenix.  That saying, Adidas will surely make a beautiful strip.  It's pretty unfckable really.

If, for some unknown reason, the Nix don't go with this design, can we have some YF shirts with this design made up?

Would be confusing if people had the Ricki masks as well.

Or an IRD intranet mock-up... "Serepisos' Head on a Plate" shirt??

Improving,,on the up, a work in progress from Italiano and the Nix. Bring on the bathroom bling in '24! COYN!

Wiki says:

"On the 21st of May 2007, CCC announced a deal to make the teamwear for English Premier League team Portsmouth. This was the company's second venture into association football having previously supplied New Zealand professional side the Football Kingz."

Its agreed, lets follow the Kingz and Pompy... what could possibly go wrong?

Deportivo la Corunna as well fro a while I think.

The Kingz strip was 'distinctive'.

You can buy the Portsmouth strip for $40 at Dressmart in Onehunga. Its actually a nice kit.

Its no longer a problem.

Can we at least move away from having a white away/alternate strip? It looks like a big "We surrender" flag, and the players play like it too.

I agree. Something with yellow shorts/socks... but then again we would probably need to see what GCU and Mariners come up with so that theres no clash.

The other thing that ive found stupid is wearing the alternate strip away too often when it doesnt even clash, ie. Adelaide, Brisbane, Fury... pretty much everyone except Mariners.

An away kit with black with yellow trim?

I don't think anyone else plays in black?? I can't recall any..

Playing in black away in aus = suicidal, as if the temperature and humidity differences didn't affect our game enough already imagine baking away in full black kit on a sunny day!

All yellow with black trim would be the go, as we would likely keep black shorts/socks for the home kit. And just wear the stripy against the Ghost.

Don't think it's hurt Adelaide.

Don't think the temp. differences between Adelaide and Melbourne, Perth, Townsville et cet are as appreciable as that to Wellington. Adelaide kits also clashes less than ours (albeit only slightly) so they have a slightly larger luxury in choosing to wear it.

But I mean, the differences it would make are slim but considering our general away form we should probably try and eke out any advantage we can!

I actually like the NZ flag on the arm.  But then we'd have to change our name to New Zealand phoenix

Do the clubs even get to choose to wear their alternate kit or are they told to? I read somewhere that FFA had an agreement with the supplier Rebook, that teams would wear their alternate kit for a certain amount of away games a season, even in cases where there was no clash, as it was to do with marketing and making sure fans would buy the alternate shirts (ie, less people would buy a shirt that is only worn 2 or 3 games a year by the club).

Anyone else read/heard this?

Wouldn;t surprise me, the way we wear our alternate for no apparent reason.

...and in Kiwitea Street several cardiac arrests have just been reported

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Even if we went for like a light grey or something out of th ordinary could be quite cool with a black, yellow trim?

You may be surprised when another team releases their strip.
