The Phoenix might not be able to win, but this is a guaranteed winner. It's back for its fourth edition.

The almost FFDU award winning ’12 Pubs of Lochhead’.

Loud noises.

Like usual we start from our good friends at Four Kings, and visit a handful of pubs on the way to the Phoenix game, before returning to Courtenay Place after the game via a few more pubs. Pretty simple really.

So this year, before the Sydney game on Sunday the 22nd, make sure you get involved, Here is the (very loose) itinerary for the day.

Follow the hashtag #12PubsOfLochhead to track, and join in, the Fever’s crawl. Or download the Yellow Fever App and follow the ‘2013 12 Pubs of Lochhead’ forum thread.

12.00pm  Four Kings (Cnr Taranaki St & Dixon)
1.00  Mac Brewbar (4 Taranaki Street)
1.30  St John's (5 Cable Street)
2.00  Dockside (Jervois Quay)
2.30  Foxglove (Shed 3/2-6 Jervois Quay)
3.00  Arizona (2 Grey Street)
3.30  Leuven (135-137 Featherston Street)
4.00  The Pub (101 The Terrace)
5.00  Backbencher (34 Molesworth St)

7:00  Wellington Phoenix v Sydney FC

9:30  Old Bailey (101 Lambton Quay)
10:30  Molly’s (134 Courtenay Pl)|
11:00  Electric Avenue (132 Courtenay Pl)

Lochy looks to be loving that beer. Maybe that's what the Phoenix are missing this season.

There's no excitement quite like mild excitement, that's my favourite type by far.

All sounds good apart from the Tui at the stadium might play havoc with my craft beer tastes.

Electric avenue seems like a mountain to climb.

Had trouble at Molly's telling the difference between the YF singing and a chant, poor guy on the geetarrr was over whelmed.
I warned the boys behind the bar about a week ago, but I think they set the young ladies up for a panic room situation, calling in the duty manager to serve.

ok so this year is a bit niggly. Our last home game before Christmas in 13 Dec (sat) but it is in Auckland. Game before then is 30 Nov (sunday).Or there is a game on the 28th but it feels weird having a Christmas party after Christmas.

Anyone got any thoughts. Kinda think we could have two this year. One in Wellington on the 30th. One in Auckland on the 13th.

Christmas in Auck. New Years in Welly - not quite the 12 pubs of Lochhead but what about something for troy "party" hearfield in Wellington? Same principle just NY themed, not Xmas themed. And the 12 pubs of Lochy continues - just on the road in Aucks.
