2015/16 Transfer Speculation
so we chasing Archie or what?
Forlan hasn't got any legs left in him (in any case not any more than Archie) but commands a big pricetag.
In other words, he is exactly the opposite to what we need at WPX.
What about Boogaard? (Assuming the Jets ownership problems let's him out of his contact)

David Dome spotted in Otorohanga?

A bit clumsy at times - most red cards in history of HAL. Ok player

Boogard is crap.
Our no dickheads policy presumably disqualifies Bullut?
Alex and Roly in Europe. Alex recently said he thought the A League was a great place for Spanish players... Roly has said he thinks young Dutch players could really thrive here. Will be interesting to see if any contacts/networks bring up any prospects on Ernie's trip to Europe.
Worked for Sydney with the Faty/Tavares connection
Boogard is crap.
Boils it down nicely. His relatively good form this season shouldn't fool anyone. Boogaard has cost Adelaide goals and points galore down the years. Siggy and Dura pushing zimmer frames are far more reliable than him.
There was some mention a while back of Zac Anderson too, but I don't rate him. He's still young but he's had a lot of chances, keeps making the same old dumb mistakes and has regularly found himself dropped from the CCM starting line up, to the point which I don't think he will ever improve enough to become the CB we need.

I wonder if Ernie will look for someone eligible for an Aussie passport in Europe but not one that has come thru their systems.
Mussa?
Musa?
Think he still has to be in the conversation.
He is captain of his club in the US. Might be on a two year contract.
Possibility after that? see if there is progress.
Musa has also got another year on his contract. Re: Tzimo, I thought I'd heard that his club was in financial strife? As for the Eagar isn't good enough or else we would have signed him argument I don't necessarily buy that - isnt that just tautological reasoning? Maybe we didn't sign him previously because we already had 3 CBs contracted for instance. And we've had a few players who didn't join a fully professional team until later in their careers who have turned out well for us: Siggy, Manny, Krishna for a start. Riera too? (I'm not sure if his club in Spain was fully pro). Defenders especially peak later, as they become more experienced and assured at reading the game and making correct decisions.

Fair point. Maybe they're hoping for better but will settle for Eagar if no one else is available

Tom Juric for striker?
Bill Robertson for CB? Only 31 but is he visa?
Must have been someone at Oceania Club Champs worth plucking out? CB ain't that tough of a position, especially next to a pro.
Surely someone young, fit, fast and skillful around ASB Prem?
If Gameiro doesn't pick up a new deal at SFC would he be good pick up? Is recovering from an ACL injury and unlucky the previous season with injury. Out of the HAL players coming off contract, wouldn't mind picking up Faty and Gameiro actually.

Sounds like despite the rumors nothing was decided until a couple of weeks ago, maybe the club thought they could retain Boxall?

And Faty has been re-signed by SFC
“We’re after a striker and a centre-back and then depending on what happens with Burnsy, we’re pretty settled,” Dome said.
