The 9,301st person thru the gate tomorrow will be the quarter of a milliionth fan to watch the Nix at the ROF.
This poses three questions -
- Who will that person be?
- Will that person actually make it tomorrow?
- Why haven't I got anyting better to do on a Saturday afternoon?

A sunny day like today and with the radio promos and the WC next Saturday, I reckon we could get over 10K.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!

I'll volunteer if someone else volunteers to stand by the gate and count.

Will everyone mill around the gates waiting for others to go in?

UDB - answer to question three: because you've got your priorities entirely right

'question 4' intrigues me - how will your World Cup obsession (if i may use that word ) be finessed to accomodate NZ's presence if it turns out alright on the night?

The Brazilian fan who shot himself when Brazil won the World Cup for the first time, in 1958, has always been a personal hero of mine.
It's one thing to shoot yourself in a moment of despair - but it's real class to shoot yourself because you consider life simply couldn't get any better!
Problem was, Brazil won again four years later - but he's still a source of enormous inspiration to me.
I don't know if I'll go quite that far if NZ qualify. But I am a tad concerned about what my reaction might be. It could prove too much.
The gun may, however, need to come out when Ipswich get relegated.

my guess is that the stadium rules preclude the possesion of firearms

they pretty much ban every other known human activity

Dont cheer too loud now Tigers. As happened at a game in the Championship recently when the steward threatened to kick a fan out for cheering too lound.

No, not abusive or racial chanting, Genuine cheering your team on type stuff. The steward recieved the due amount of crap from all the other fans for being such a dick and he made a tacticle retreat.

Fans from both sides couldn't believe it.

Its quite possible there's been a few stewards at Nix games recently who've had the same involuntary "testicle retreats" when the Yellow Fever have been in full cry too, eh??

Oh,..sorry. I'll read that again...
