Broich surprises me, considering how much of the season he missed. Deserved it in the games he did play though.

I would say top corner of the net is more perfect. I don't think he tried to hit the post.

It is a player voted award, so even tho he didn't play every game the players must see him as the best player in the league.

Yeah he certainly deserves it, just thought he was probably more likely to win it last season than this season.

na, giving the keeper the absolute least chance possible to save it is better than hitting the net clean because it looks pretty.

It's the crap goalkeeping factor which maybe scuttled it. Every time you watch the replay you can't help thinking it really should've been saved.

Pasfield wouldnt have saved that even if it went straight into the net. It was past him before he was anywhere near it.

Flores won it last season, who I think is a better player. Would have been nice to have another season or two of both of them in the league.

didn't say he would have saved it, just said he'd have less chance to than if it didn't hit the post. Anyway, "off the post and in = perfect" is something I've heard a lot from coaches and players growing up.

Signed a 3 year deal. Dunno if the Chinese club would want to let him go, so it is probably all just paper talk.

technically, brushing the corner of post and crossbar would be perfect.

Is there some sort of Phoenix awards night that we can attend?

There usually is, but it's generally invite only.

Not sure what the story is with this season what with new owners and new staff.

I'm gutted for Tim. Shoulda got goal of the season.
Carlos's one was nice but you see a few of those in a season.
In all the A-league I've watched I don't recall another goal from halfway... Unique A-league moment deserved a the award.

Ibini - spoke well enough for a young man, you are the douche

Sounds about right, I'm sure the Intercontinental will put on a classy dinner and drinks. I think I'll put the funds towards next years season pass instead.
