Thanks for your post on my previous subject.  I am a little shocked at the level of interest my post has created.  Thanks to your post I now kind of understand why, you are right about the controversial way in which I made some points.  Let me assure you that at no point was my post designed to offend anyone and I apologise if I did.  At no point did I intend to get personal but obviously some people have taken it very personally.

I wasnt judging anyone for wanting to go to see Beckham, please go, have a great time.  Ive had the pleasure of seeing him play when he was at the top of his game, my opinion of why he is here wasnt meant as a criticism of anyone going to see him.  I suppose I was just giving my opinion of the way the game is run nowadays, it just surprises me that were having a double header in the middle of the season.

As for Terrys contribution, it was a flippant comment, good luck to the man, I hope he makes millions of dollars out of football.

The internet really is a powerful thing, without knowing me 10s of people have judged me as an individual based on a couple of paragraphs and decided its OK to be abusive.

really 10's of people  -abusive??

either your maths is off, or you are as thin-skinned as you (from memory) have implied some of us are

most replies have merely rebutted your arguements or taken a contrary position

I'm also concerned about a double header and 2 games in 24 hours in the run-in in the final third of the season.

I'm all for exhibition games - and I suppose it was a case of Carpe Diem as the Galaxy were in our neck of the woods at the time, but my preference in future would be for pre/post-season friendlys against EPL/SPL/German/French/Spanish/S American/Asian opposition

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Fair play danielsleftball - I took it a little personally because I love the Phoenix  but tried to give you a break down of where I thought you were off.

As I mentioned I think you made some valid points, which I for one, have taken on board.

Not sure how beneficial it would be to get destroyed by teams from the EPL/SPL etc.

And for what its worth I think they will rotate the team heavily for the Galaxy game.

To be honest, I can't see any Scottish teams destroying us. Beating us, yes.

Well - as long as we never play Hibs - otherwise that'll be too much of a dilemma to put  myself in - the two clubs I have had season tickets for!

I don't know, it's pretty much the ideal situation, isn't it? Whoever wins, you're happy.
