A-Rod's injury

Anyone else a little worried about A-Rod's fitness going into this season? Seemingly hasn't played a part all pre-season due to a hamstring injury.

Any news about how serious it is? Obviously it has to be reasonably bad to keep him out for this long. I suppose this is the one good thing about a long A-League off season, he can hopefully get back into training before we begin again..

Still, a bit of a worry as I was hoping he would push on this season and I feel like he really needs a good pre-season to do so.

I for one was hoping to see A-Rod starting all 27 games and killing it in his second season

2 months to go until the season starts. Why the worry?

Well, it affects our ability to advance in the FFA Cup which I think is crucial to our pre-season.

Probably because there hasn't been much out of the club re: his injury and it's been an ongoing one for the last couple of months?

He travelled to Fiji with the squad. If it was that serious I don't think he would've travelled at all.

For memory he's had no history of hamstring injuries so it's not some kind of recurring issue.

If it was a serious season effecting or ending injury then we'd of heard about it through some avenue.

We've got over 2 months left of pre-season. If anyone has any niggles or injuries you'd be an idiot to play them.

I saw him as he walked to Exodus just last week. He looked fit, although I distinctly remember thinking that he was "walking funny".

It might just be his walk though, as he didn't seem to be in any discomfort and also he smoked me even though I was walking reasonably fast.

I don't think we're going to try particularly hard.  Expecting to see a squad with a number of the WeeNix players.

When it's not a level playing field for us vs the other clubs why waste resources?

Because its good to have competitive games in the pre-season.

Aussie and a level playing field? Tui billboard. All the years with no financial help required from the FFA or any major issues and we still get treated like we are there under sufference, rather than a team that is doing ok.
