This is not a whinge. This is not a gripe. I am happy we won and will take it anyway we can.

That said

Does it concern anyone else that we are getting goals via penalties and wondershots while other teams waltz in? With the strikers/attackers we have you would think we would find it easier and with the quality of our back 2, it should be harder for opponents?

Some games we will waltz in and some games we will win like that.

It's a long season. Like last year we've started a bit slow and i'll definitely take that win.

wondershots always depress me. Paston saves the 1 on 1s so we're sorted on that next week

Only five games into the season, so there's time for us to get it together.

Although we have good % of our team from last year together, we have some new players/signings who are just fitting in. It'll come.

I think we're still trying to find out best formation - playing with 3 midfielders or 2 strikers

To be fair, Ward's goal came from a nice 1-2 pass, just like Sydney's. Nick just had to do a little more to finish.

if you ask me it is wonder shots on top of the "usual" goals that make the difference. When the strikers can't score, that's when you want your MF's to create some magic.
Apart from Tim Brown's header and Ifill's goals (when he played as a wide player), our MF never really got too many. this should be good for us.

It's a psychological ploy. Other teams will be thinking.... far out they don't even need their strikers to score!

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

i don't care how the goals come, I just want them!

Honestly, does it really matter?

Leo's goal against CCM was a tap in.

Just because you say "this is not a whinge" at the start of your post, doesn't mean that your post isn't a whinge.

No cause if my post was a whinge, I'd be imploring something done about it.

Like I said, happy with the win, take the goals, but just a little something something to think about.

Or perhaps the answer lies in the question you've posed?
