Okay i know those who set this runaway train in motion didnt want YF to become to structured. However unfortunately know that it has arrived on the sporting landscape with so much success, maybe its time to think about having at least some level of control.

I support the Phoenix first and foremost, however coming a close 2nd is my support of YF.To me it is a real concern at the behavior of some firstly at the stadium and know it seems also at the backbencher. This is being done in Yellow Fevers name with little control being able to be exercised over those stepping over the mark.
As much as those of you who loosely run YF my not want it if fans can cause any level of mayhem in Yellow Fevers name with little in the way of recourse,it means we are just asking for trouble.

And how do you propose they do anything about it?

There are a number of ways in which it can be done,or would just prefer it continues as it is at the moment with people allowed to do anything or whatever they want in the name of Yellow Fever. If thats the preferred option them im afraid i wouldnt count on sponsors or many others sticking around for long.

Such as? I didn't think these people had even been identified yet?

I think a way to do it would be peer pressure.  It seems that good natured celebrations are quickly getting out of control and instead of imposing rules perhaps the way to snuff it out would be a good bit of peer pressure.  Basically if you see someone being an idiot call him up about it, if everyone in the area gets on your back when you do something stupid you're not going to go doing it again.  Its a way to keep the spontaneous and unstructured form of YF while adding some control to the mob.

Next time you see someone spraying beer or throwing bottles (hopefully never) tell them to pull their head in.  And everyone around the area needs to back up the 'telling off', that should nip the bud in the head so long as we act now and sort it out before the next home game.

I had previously said I didn't have a problem with beer spraying, however I retract that statement both for the fact that its uncomfortable for everyone affected and the fact that it is a step towards worse hooliganism such as the bottle throwing.

This is a pretty simple solution. You see someone causing trouble, you say something to them.

Don't be afraid of the confrontation, there's a couple of thousand or so like minded supporters stood around you that will back you up, or have simply waited for someone to be brave enough to say something.

This is a storm in a teacup. Most likely to be a couple of young 'uns that can't sip their shandy without feeling a bit giddy... what we'd call chavs in the UK. All they're missing is a burberry baseball cap and a couple of cheapo elizabeth duke soverign rings

The YF are what they are predominantly because they the majority have been fans of other football clubs and they bring the songs, the support and the behaviours and create a wonderfully eclectic band of supporters.

In all of that, a few dim wits will cling on... the majority will sort them out. The bad press this has created will ensure that any stupidity, beer fuelled or otherwise, is likely to get stamped on (and perhaps literally) should it occur again.

Nickel

That is one of the best ideas I've heard. Why can't YF police itself? If someone's acting like a dickhead and annoying those around him, tell him! Several hundred fans pointing and laughing at their antics will soon put a stop to it.

The problem is it hasnt been tho. This throwing of stuff did not just happened on sunday for the first time.It has been going on for the last 3 home games now,and sitting where i do it has been bloody hard to guess where it has come from.I find it hard to believe that no one standing around these clowns failed to see anything.Has got to the stage now  where if i get hit again  and i dont care if its a  FKN bottle top  someone will cop it.

Well thats certainly the way to deal with it; in fact i think everyone in the fever zone should take that approach, all the problems will be sorted out. Thats the most ridicuolous response you could have after opening  a thread about behaviour

Lets get over this behaviour and throwing bottles thing....I for one don't condone abusive behaviour of that sort.

But im sure the people involved will no be carrying out such activites.

Peer pressure from the majority of the people who do know better will rectify this situation.

I say tackle him in the face.

I got hit by a bottle at the Perth game - and I'm in row G - now either the the person who checked was so bladdered they didn't realise they would have no chance of reaching the pitch from where they are - or my singing was really bad that day.

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Well nothing has been done in previous games so if it takes that to get it stopped you bet.No one has been prepared to say buggar all to the offenders before and dont bother telling me on one knew about it.Just because now it lands on the pitch everyone is being so morale about it.What so its okay for them to throw stuff and have it land amongst fellow YF members as has been the case in previous weeks.Given the noise level at the time these things happen think you are all in la la land if you think a little finger pointing is really going to work.

Good call Nickel. I'd love to see a huge section of YF pull out the "WHO ARE YA?" or "WE'RE HERE TO WATCH THE FOOTBALL" at anyone tossing a bottle... I imagine being stuck in the centre with a bunch of football fans pointing and chanting at you would discourage ya pretty quickly!

The point is its gone largely unnoticed until the events at the CCM game.  Now that its out there people know its happening and with the exposure its getting people will be quick to jump on any offenders in the future.  People are sheep by nature and when the mob unites against you then you are going to buck your ideas up.
