Why have Adelaide got an elf in goal? Spills it, scramble, Celseski pokes it in.

Ha. Whats funnier is listening to the commentators talking about Melbournes tactic of attacking down the left flank as thats where the goals have come from.

Um lads, they've scored two f**king penalties.......

Er, doesn't mean that they haven't had very good chances apart from the penalties.

They weren't talking about chances. They were talking about goals. Read the text again...

Eh? Has been a good game imo apart from the terrible dive from Cristiano.

Must've missed that. Only bit I heard was when they said a lot of their play has gone down that side.

At least they weren't playing Sydney in Sydney. Then there would be fireworks....

Technically yes I suppose.  But over his three seasons I think he hasn't missed one?

Normo's coming home

In Adelaide?? I would have thought that Sydney's continental ethnic contingent (read greeks and croats) would have by far and away been bigger headcases that Adelaides mob

Not so much.

That crowd hasn't really got on the Sydney bandwagon (unlike in Melbourne) and Adelaide has a pile of Green Street Wannabes.

The Sydney 'effniks' are very much in the 'disenfranchised' by the FFA when the NSL clubs were dumped camp - as are most of the older generation in Melbourne.

How's my driving? - Whine here

Best thing they ever did. Ditch the old NSL set up and clubs. Smart man (in someways) that O'Neil

Football in general in Australia is in far better shape now than it was 5 years ago. They've been to a world cup, they are getting crowds, no violence and good tv deals with exposure.

I fail to see the negatives here...

You could argue that NSL players took them to the world cup though.

The A-League is much better run but I don't think the quality is that much higher, if at all.

Brilliant thread. I just woke up (it's about 4:30pm over here) and I couldn't remember a thing about last night, so this thread has filled in a few blanks.
