Aisle 27 - match ramblings.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

ZM guy got roundly booed. He did learn from last home game and did use the word football.
Finally the people around us started to take our cue and make some noise.
Big noise coming from over toward aisle 30. At one stage a huge roll of "c'mon phoenix..." just poured down.

Three women behind us were in huge voice. They just got so involved in the game... their enthusiasm was huge.

Have to say thart looking over toward aisle 21 looks amazing. All the arms in the air at one point it looked, and sounded, superb.

My sister was in the YF zone tonight, first time, and gave it at a huge thumbs up!

It was a good night.

Yep, those guys were the group with the drums at the back? They were just to the right of us (we were in Aisle 30) and they certainly got the chants going down our end which is normally alot quieter.

Ya, that was them. It was much noisier down this end (I'm at front of 31). Much nicer. And they were doing the same chants as YF most of the time, which is great.

phoenix clap, clap, clap

I'm sure we'll get there!, the noise leve from the whole crowd has gone up,

I wonder what happened to  "We'll be coming" last night?

Early days yet, but still the best buzz in town!!!

Why would you come on to the Fever forum and say that? Are you Melbourne in disguise?

I think it's great if the Greek Fever boys can spur the rest of the crowd on and encourage them to get into it as well. Pavlos is still a moron, however :)

My daughter wondered round to aisle 14-ish to see some friends for the first 10 to 15 minutes of the second half. She said that the noise and sight of the Fever Zone from there looked great. We were just in front of Ballayne and behind Frankie Mac & Feverish etc this time.

Have to mention the guy at the Backbencher who came up and offered my daughter $60 for her Phoenix scarf. She paid $27 for it at RYOS (with the Yellow Fever discount card), so was well happy to cash-in.... I just hope she won't turn in to Del Boy now!

I took my parents last night and sat in  a corporate box on half way. It was great to be able to see what it looks like out of the Feverzone and I can tell you all that it looks magnificent! Especially when we are annimated and gesticulate ( the 'who are ya' especially) looks fantastic.
The chants were pretty clear. People around me were asking what was being said and once I told them it was clear enough. Well done everyone!
The 'Greek fever' sounded great as well. Having chants from all sides was superb.
Pavlos you are right, it does sound great having chants from each end but no need to slate the feverzone fella.
You guys did well but you certainly didnt come close to the feverzone. Im picking that you were sitting by one of the crowd microphones.
We are all in it togeather remember.

that is one fkn awesome chant.

was at highbury when i heard it for the first time, keown's testimonial.
it was... we're the north, we're the north, we're the north bank highbury

then the south started..... it went on for about 15 minutes.

pure gold.  and absolutley deafning. esp from highbury the library.

Yeah we always get a good riff off that at Brighton. At the Goldstone, the North Stand used to split into alternating "we're the right stand north stand boys" with "we're the left side north stand boys." At Withdean, it's the North Stand and South Stand alternating with each other and, given the problems with Withdean as a football venue, is the only chant that gets the whole ground in.

We're the top side, we're the top side, we're the top side fever zone.
We're the down side, we're the down side, we're the down side fever zone.
Hmm... maybe... maybe not.

The Tards do it pretty well. Especially at Olympic Park - got all four sides doing it one game and I think they did it at the grand final @ TD as well. Can't remember.

it was "We're West End We're West End We're West End Over Here" etc

With regard to combining chants between the zones, that only works if the Greek Zone (all 100 of them) can be heard from the Fever Zone. I certainly couldn't hear anyone outside of our zone chanting.

The GreekZone, now to be called Aisle 30 because of all this ethnicity sh*t it shadows over us, was throwing out the refs a w**ker, barberello, and phoenix genrl. chants too. Yes the drum was us, untill the other group drummers thingy went spaz in the 2nd half and killed it.

It was great being ablt to go watch the reply and hear the whole stadium getting into it.

Vs Perth Aisle 30 might mozzie on down to the YFZone and join yaz.

Let Uncle know what class you go to. Then you can ask your teacher the proper spelling of "skool".

I think the Phoenix are the best thing ever to happen to football in NZ, the fans, the players, King Ricki the First, didn't think I'd see it in my lifetime, major input from so many people, the weather looks crap for Sunday, but I'll be there. It has been magic so far, big ups to all you forum contributors, chanters and bums on seaters.Anyone notice how the Nix's odds have shortened at the TAB, now down to $16, managed to get them at $26 early in the season with Betfair.
