Johnson definately. I don't think Aloisi has imposed himself as much as I thought he would. Kinda been a little disappointed really. He's still been great for Nix - especially off the park - but yeah..

my opinion is,  Johnson is starting to come into form,  but my i reckon Ross has been pretty good all season and a good skipper to boot

Ross has been the most consistent in the team, but Johnno was the best last week

The fact that Ricky seemed to give a lot of the credit for the win at sydney to Ross's efforts, and I'm pretty sure that TV doesn't capture his work off the ball, and his leadership mean its Ross Aloisi!

I voted for Ross Aloisi, but they have both been doing well lately.

I think Ross is more an attacking midfielder, whereas Richard is a DM. Both are very good and I am very pleased with their performances, although Richards yellow cards must be mounting!

Still Richard is ex QPR and thats good enough for me!!

I think both players have done reasonably well, I thought Aloisi started the season slowly by his standards but he seems to be becoming more influential as the weeks go on. However I still think  Johnson has been a bit more impressive, he covers more ground and has a more accurate passing game over both short and long distances. I think there is room for both of them in the starting line up, they both offer loads of experience. It just becomes interesting when you have to try and fit Tim Brown in their as well. But as the saying goes...If it ain't broke, don't fix it, and I think that the midfield has been going well this season, so Brown might have to sit on the bench for a bit.

Elementary spelling mistakes like that are a blight on the wonderful language that is English that our fore-fathers strived tirelessly to perfect.

It hasn't been perfected and never will be. Text speak is pretty annoying, however, try reading Bebo [shudder]

Aloisi seems to have been a bit stifled in a 5-man midfield, but there are times when his class shows through. He seems to have eyes in the back of his head sometimes.

anyway back to the topic Aloisi for me - he has been a good general for us and plays soccer like someone alot younger than him

Aloisi for me, his work rate is outstanding

what, outstanding, meaning Johnno's isn't?

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

I think people are rating Aloisis contribution to the club more than his performance. Sure he does make more of a contribution than Johnno but on the actual field i think Aloisis been disappointing

(side note) athough I agree, it is becoming more and more recognised as its own social dialect that one day it could maybe be a branch off the english and other languages.
Back on topic, I do rate both players, but prefer Aloisi for attributes on and off the field. Good for the club to feed off, and although not the fastest in the flock, has a good work rate and is generally well composed.
NB. not to say Johnson is not any of these. Aloisi just looks better in the morning
P.S im jst jkn arnd

can't vote,
sorry, call me a romantic but I think we need both! And they are both giving all they've got. So I'm not gonna give my vote to one only cause he might have played a better game once.

BOTH.

And to think the clowns at NZQA are allowing text language to be used in some exams. I'm a teenager, and even I think that that is pathetic!

Looking forward to watching Johnno and Aloisi tear up the Mariners midfield!

You joking, right?????????

Surely you can't use txt language in an exam..I'm studying Classics and they're so harsh on any minimal grammar mistake over there, you can imagine what would happened if I used txt language in an academic essay!!!

If you are running out of time and 'slip' into text language then it can be accepted (depending on the subject, thank goodness it can't be used in English or History).

this is an old topic but I think it needs reviewing: Aloisi was on top but I now think Johnson
