Can we have suggestions for Westpac's resident DJ? Crowd warmers, in betweenies, and half-timesies. Yellow submarine, don't you want me (manny muscat baby), 5000 miles, twist n shout, never gonna give you up, danger zone, the only way is up, phoenix city, ring of fire. Gotta be singeable....

Ask the DJ to play John Cage's 4'33" on endless loop ;)

People like Coldplay and voted for the Nazis. You can't trust people.

How about no music before, during the game or at half time or during breaks in play. None, fineto, nada!

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

But it's all part of the shit entertsinment put on by Westpac...honestly could it get any worse? Every stadium I know of plays music at the ground. Loftus Rd no exveption.

Wow, do you want us to get worse crowds? :)

I'll suggest whats already been done, because it was good. Wiz Khalifa's 'Black and Yellow' for when we walk out, and Deadmau5's 'Ghosts and Stuff (instrumental version)' when the teams are being read out on big screen (volume increased for Nix line up for dramatic effect)

Suggestions for music is always welcome and encouraged. A request was taken on board for the last home game to play "Twist and Shout" although I had the track ready to play I never had the chance to play it.

There are a number of tracks that are designated by the A-League for things like the walk out and head shots but other than that it’s a case of helping to create an atmosphere for everyone at the stadium. As you can imagine this covers a broad audience from diehard fans to the young and the old.

I'm keen to hand over the pressure of creating an atmosphere for the teams walk out onto the field to the Fever and other supporters as it’ssomething they do an incredible job with.

For example, at the first home game it was decided to try no music for the walk out and then at the last home game I tried cranking the walk out music up and then bringing it back down as the supporters took over which seemed to work well.

My job is to do what I can to help make the stadium come alive for game day, I’m a huge phoenix fan, a football fan and I want game day to be as perfect as everyone else out in the stand.

So if you’ve got recommendations then make sure you get them out there!

Thanks, and I can honestly say my intentions for posting the topic are unrelated to club affiliations and more about improving the fan experience; old, young, die-hard, or walk-up. So AJ13's contibution and any other are to be welcomed.  It sounds like from the stadium's point if view we're pushing on an open door so come on, give us your play list and we'll see where we can take. Roll on Friday.

Because the stadium people only know how to play the music at one volume -annoyingly loud, so that you cant converse with the person next to you without shouting and as you want something, how about the entire Pink Floyd's "Wish you were here" album?

If you want to get singing and involvement from crowds and families, you can't go wrong with this old favourite of many:

Disclaimer: I would much rather not hear it at the footy but if we have to have something may as well get one that will get most of the crowd involved.

If you EVER play that morbid, suicide inducing anthem of dross I will stop coming to Phoenix games.

No, no, no, no, no.

NEVER.

Please never this.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Not my favourite Bouncing Souls song but really easy to change the lyrics to suite the Phoenix:

OLE

Bouncing souls Wellington Phoenix no one can beat us

we drink beer and wear adidas

anywhere we get the itch

we're off to find a proper pitch

Lace your sambas get on out

off we go to kick it about

Win or lose we're having fun

we won't quit until we're done

We got heart when we play

Take you on any day!

Was it in Wellington where the singer packed a sad and randomly ran off from where they were playing?

in the encore, yeah. He was suffering a sort of agoraphobia at the time, great doco on the band 'do you remember the bouncing souls' touches on it a little bit. When he was younger he was extremely extroverted.
