Hasn't Sam Morgan been mentioned a few times? Or is that just an optimistic rumour?

Stripey is on! Hope everybody else is in with this!

Im sure somewill step up for Mr S but it could take some time for that to occur. At least we arent in the situation of the Knights where the team sucked and no one followed it, so this should encourage a future owner

Not quite so sure it's as simple as someone else stepping up eventually. Apparently the club does own the License- great, but the other significant asset is the players contracts.

We need clarification, but if CCF is declared bankrupt today, might that not lead to the annulment of those contracts?

The A-League standard player contract gives the FFA authority to novate or assign the player to another club.

I'm not confident that clause would stand up to challenge though.

I suspect that in reality at least some of the contracts would be allowed to be terminated.

Hopefully we'll have a reporter in the court room and updates via Yellow Fever Tweets.

Question is, would someone want to pick up an A-league franchise for around $1.5m

...its in Courtroom 9 and its an open court so all are welcome.  If you dont know where to go/what to do, just go and see the registrar (receptionist) and tell them its your first time there and you want to find the bankruptcy and liquidations proceedings theyll point you in the right direction.

It's the new building on the diagonally opposite parliament at the end of Lambton Quay.

The High Court is at the bottom of Molesworth Street.

The bankruptcy/liquidation proceedings are in Courtroom 9.

Cases are on a list that starts at 10am (bankrupcy first) and roll on through until they're finished.

It's an open court.  You can come and go as you please.

Wasn't that the temporary home and it's now in the new building opposite the Occidental?

No, that is of course the Supreme Court.
