Don't think there's any chance of joining up with the squad for Newcastle given that there is still the World Cup qualifier on Wednesday next week.  What a farce.

Problem might be the rules about time gaps before internationals....

Not sure, and not enough of an anorak to find out, but you will notice that for a weekend international you won't have any Premiership games from the Monday before at the very latest and more likely the Sunday before.  Hence it's unlikely a game 3 days before would be acceptable.

That would be the only positive he could take out of this trip across the world.

Three for me, and two for them.

Very good point ,i suspect the logistics might be to much of a nightmare especially if the AW's are playing next week!

Remembering what happened before that Knights game against Melbourne? last year. I don`t see why they couldn`t change their squad. Players on the plane then not. Players called in from the state league at the last minute. I guess the FFA just wanted a team on the field at all costs for that game. So maybe regulations went out the window.

"The All Whites will now re-jig their training schedule ahead of Tuesday's scheduled departure for Fiji. Players will not be released for A-League matches this weekend."

This is the right decision. Even though i suggested it possibly could be done.

probably a good call, the lads who have spent all week preparing for the match would find it fairly frustrating if the squad got swooped around at the last minute

the way i see it, viewing the season as a whole this the better option

Will be great to see some of the other players get a chance to show some form and put pressure on the AW's missing from our squad.

Felipe out but Daniel back, Ross still there at the heartbeat and we get to unleash Elrich on the Jets and on his brother.....

C'Mon our Phoenix...!!!!

Yeah I guess the sudden return of All Whites might disrupt all the pre match buildup of the nix
