Not sure how the end game works - have we made it, whio do we play, how's it decided?

Anyone care to explain, or point me to a thread that spells it out?

btw - if we have made it then wasn't that part of the team strategy from way back? Season three make the playoffs? If so, big ups to Rickie ('give us a wave') Herbert

If we win one of our last two games we're in. That's all you need to know.

Three for me, and two for them.

Or if Central Coast lose to Perth tonight...

Aren't Brissy still in the hunt though?

No were not confirmed I don't think,  if Brisbane win their next two and Perth and Jets keep winning then we wouldn't make it. But if we can get a win from our next two then we should be through guaranteed

Dont we just need a draw? and also we could lose our last two and still go thru if the perth and jets dont win their last two?

brisbane are 4 points behind us. if they win their final two games, we need to draw our final 2 and then we will be eaven on points but the our goal difference currently is +4 and theirs is -6 so should be enough.

It is close.

flippin' 'eck lock this fred!

Last time we got all cocky about going for 3rd and then promptly forgot to play football for the next two games.

So we are well placed at the moment but mathematically can still not make it.

Brisbane needed to lose last night. But sydney have forgotten how to score.

Then CCM lose to perth tonight. This would however make a home final all the more difficult,so am a bit iffy on what result we want from this game?

Allegedly

How? It's asking IF we are in the playoffs not exclaiming how we are guaranteed.

We can beat Gold Coast even if they are on a high. Home advantage for them means nothing.

How many away games have we won this season?

2. Fair point. I was in a good mood. However, I see no reason why we couldn't get a point there.

I think we've got 7 draws or wins out of the 13 which is reasonable. A point would be a creditable result for us against GCU.

I think the soonest our finals spot could be confirmed is Saturday night. If Perth win today and Brisbane lose next saturday in adelaide (a draw would essentially qualify us given Brisbane's terrible goal difference). if CCM gets a point tonight and Brisbane next Saturday we would need to win again GC or it will go down to the last week. A draw against CCU would be enough depending if Brisbane and adelaide draw.

given its now 3 zip to perth and CCM are gone, only brisbane can head us off. they are 4 points behind us with two to play. a win and a draw would put them equal with us if we lose both our last two games, but given their poor GD they probably have to win both to have any chance, although if we got hammered by GCu that could change i suppose/

And not to forget, even if we lose twice and get caught by Brisbane, its still possible we could finish ahead of newcastle but theyd need to lose their last three.

Their remaining fixtures make it unlikely, but North Queensland can still catch us too.
