Felipe was useless. He wasn't resigned because he wanted to much money. The second he died his hair blonde, his intelligence matched it.

Felipe also had an influence on Daniel and the rest of the team, even when under peforming he was pushing the others like a Captain should - something we have not seen too much of. Leading by example is one thing, but everyone needs a verbal encouragement as well. We havent seen enough of that this year. Felipe was talking to other players during the game, whether or not they understood portugeeze is another story.

I'd rather have Felipe than Gao. What you do at practices, you should be doing on the feild during a real game. Gao has the ability but keeps it for practice sessions so far....
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

im not too sure about that  i think felipe played well at the start of last season, but by the end he was far too predictable. Before this season if i had a choice between kwasnik and felipe. on current form felipe. i think bertos has started to come right. plus felipe's scissors were so damn slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They worked though, having player who can beat a man like he can is very useful, and unlike Gao, and in my view Hearfield and even Daniel and Leo at times Felipe seemed to know exactly what to do once he'd beaten a few players. A I said though, I think Fred has similar sort of skills, but probably executes them better and more often.

Edit - Quote tags fixed, they don't work when bold apparently.

Seriously? The biggest criticism I had for Felipe was that he often beat 2 or 3 players and then ran into a defender and fell over complaining. Did it so many times. Doesn't help the team at all and was very frustrating.

Fred and Felipe are nothing alike. Felipe is more of a solo player - tries to beat heaps without much end product (usually). Fred's strength is his final ball (imo).

I'm not sure your side can afford another lightweight attacking player who drops in and out of matches.

Especially when they have a $1.4 million bench-warmer.

^ True, but next season were losing santalab, middleby and timpano. While corica is 36. We really need some spark.
