I reckon if the club can drag in 6000-8,000 per game, it would be good. The Knights and Kingz averaged 3,000 and some games were down as low as a couple of hundred. As Aucklanders like to remind us, that they have over a Million people up there. I reckon Wellingtonians and the greater regional area need to get in and support these new local heros. We're in for an interesting ride but the noise that can be created in that stadium can really be effective. When the players hear us urging them on, it will be such a positive lift.

I can see us dragging in 5,000 as an average but I'd love to see it up over 8,000. Mind you, the Wellington people could make it a lot higher if the team are doing ok too! Now that would be awsome.

This Sunday, i reckon 15,000 is on the cards if it's sunny. There's definately a lot of promotion going on about it - thanks NewstalkZB and Jason Pine. You guys are really doing an excellent job!

I read that Tony Pignata said average attendance of 10,000 is needed just to break even - shows what a challenge is it to get a professional footbal club running on an ongoing basis in NZ.

It's up to all of us to spread the word, and for instance to try to take people who've never been to a proper football match before along to the games. Unfortunately there aren't enough diehard football fans - yet anyway..................

Go the Nix!

Evening from Sydney, long time listener first time caller. Like most Sydney fans, I am hoping the nix have a great season with big crowds and I especially hope you can smash those dirty Tards tomorrow.

Anyway, has anyone got any indication on how ticket sales are going for tomorrow? Any chance of a sell out and is there much buzz around town for the nix?

Huge buzz, if the wind dies off it'll be a big crowd, but at 35k unlikely to be  a sell out.

Hoping for 15k.

Excuse me, whos the daft c**t paying for his f**king ticket!  Anyway, the bus was pretty good,  slept most the way on the backseat. Recommend Intercity travel to all of you, top notch. Woke up in some random places I never knew existed, Massey, Porirua and SHANNON (WTF?!). Pretty excited about the game, will be in Aisle 22 singing with you lot. LG - he does deserve a DB, but we're underage  Irresponsible LG I expect better
