could be a good money making oppourtunity actually. Would be relatively chap to host. Find somewhere to do it up in Auck, don't know about North Harbour stadium or what, and would be great for marketing.
You'd want to so it soon so everyones still got the buzz from the club world cup. What if you did it like a few days out from xmas. Play fringe nix players and also gives us a chance to warmup before CCM. It would be too soon, but otherwise I can't see it being as much of a hit

Didn't the Phoenix play whytakere last year and thrash them?
ACFC are probably a better team.A good run for the Phoenix reserves.
As for making money from a game like this in Auckland. No chance.
Fortunately the ARC is for the chop so no more football events from them.

They should make it a regular event. Three games. The first year have two games in Auckland and one in Wellington then alternate who gets two games each year. And the winner holds some budget trophy for the season.
