Dodd was robbed!

Can understand O'Dor's omission though due to his lack of playing time.

Ferrante, Elrich (!!)

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Meh it's only a training squad - a lot of those players wont get near a Socceroos shirt. lol @ Talay, Bolton and Durante though.

Elrich and Dodd haven't played well enough to make it imo. If Elrich keeps improving he might have a chance by the end of the season, however. Dodd might've had a better chance in a team that doesn't leak so many stupid goals. :(

I'm ok with this actually, because it means that our Aussie players stay here and get on with the team build up to the important game away against Melbourne on the Friday 11th.

Those selected have to spend 2 days in Sydney, for stuff all chance of getting in the team

Leaking stupid goals doesn't seem to have harmed Colosimo or Topor-Stanley's chances.

What else could he have done?

Could be a blessing in disguise.....less chance for Nix players to get injured.

I say tackle him in the face.

I reckon that's fair enough. He was in the squad at Germany 2006 too.

It's a bit different. Topor-Stanley has been involved with the Olyroos for ages and was an automatic pick. Colosimo is a CM and has been one of Perths standouts.

They must have a severe shortage of young goalkeepers if they have to include Tando Velaphi in their U23 squad. I reckon Stevie Wonder would make a better keeper than Velaphi. Jag2008-01-03 12:30:58

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Velaphi isn't a bad backup to Vukovic. He has been involved in the Olyroos in the past and that's why he is there. He had a terrible game against us but before that he was pretty solid. The only additions = Zullo and Kruse I think. valeo2008-01-03 12:38:02

Stevie Wonder. Too old for the under 23 team and not Aussie. Played a few blinders in his day though.

Surely Verbeek wont field eleven of that lot against Qatar - they could get seriously embarrassed. There's not much class and a lot of window dressing for a very important WC match. Watch for the SOS to go out to Europe soon.

Kevin Muscat!? Wow, that's desperate. Oh well, good luck Kev, break a leg, mate....
