Anyone else get an email from the club announcing the awards night has been canceled due to unforseen circumstances?

I thought that they couldn't compete with the Yellow Fever awards night so they canned it, didn't we cover all the important bits
although we did give Elrich sumthing

So has a new date been set? If its late March, I might be able to make it, after unfortunately having to miss the YF awards...

They hadn't announced prices yet. The email from Tamara suggested that it is totally cancelled and not just postponed. For the record it was late March - Mar 28 at 7:30pm.

The Wellington Sports Awards are about that price and they sell 520 tickets to that and have a waiting list.

The price is pretty standard for these types of nights.  Ticket price is all inclusive of food and drink so they have to cover the cost of that, venue hire, audio-visual stuff etc.

Moot point now it's been cancelled of course.

I look after the audio visual element at most of these large events and awards dinners and its not cheap to put on a great evenings production.

Shame this ones cancelled, could've been a great night although may take some time to build a following of 400+ with that sort of money for a ticket.  I know for a fact that the Wgtn Sports Awards night didn't start out with a full house in one of Wellingtons best hotels Ballroom for their first attempt.
