It's the clash strip, and there was no clash.

There's no more away strip. The white kit is an alternate one, and only worn when there's a clash of colours.

Exactly, FFA changed the rules so the 2nd strip only has to be used if there is a clash, god knows what will happen when CCM visit the RoF, I myself don't know of any occasion when a home football team has used their 2nd strip in a competitive match. I'm sure it's been done though.

Croatia has to do it all the time - can't wear the checks against oppo in either white or red.

Does the CCM away top clash as well?

I have seen Hibs wear the away strip at home a couple of times back in the 90s - usually to promote it because it was newish at the time.

Arsenal had to wear theirs in an FA Cup tie a few seasons back when they played a non-league side at Highbury. The fixture was moved to Highbury for Financial and Safety reasons but was still classed as a "Home" match for the Non-League side. They were entitled to the majority of the Gate Receipts etc on the day too!

CHANGE strip is the term you want.

THis would be the clash strip...
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Yup, against the mighty Farnborough Town. 6-1 was the result, Rocky Baptiste scored! Was a great day out.

I'm glad they changed the rule. You should wear the 'home' strip whenever possible. Do teams in the A-League have a third strip? I've seen some teams (not A-League ones) have a 'home', 'away', and 'alternate' strip. In case the away strip still clashes...

It's a rule in International rugby that the home team wears the change kit in the event of a clash...

How do we explain this? Surely wouldn't have been a clash if GCU wore yellow?

GCU's choice perhaps?

I thought that GC's kit was classified as Home and Away.
May have read that wrong.

5-1.

Three for me, and two for them.

Think its good stuff that we don't have to wear an away strip each week.

For CCM, they should just have a plain white strip made up for them. How expensive would that be? surely not too much. Or just pull out last years away strip

The top two divisions in England have to have three kits for this reason, but lower down only two are mandatory.

A few seasons back, Brighton played away to Palace. Brighton's first kit that year was a lighter blue than normal with white stripes, change kit was red and third kit was dark blue. All three were deemed to clash with Palace's blue and red, so we  (Brighton) had to have a one-off fourth kit of all white. As we beat the Palace for the first time in a long time, the club sold the kit but everyone had to order in advance by a certain date so a job-lot order could be sent to the manufacturer.
