We've got our banners made up.

They are quite small, allowing us to hold them up with our hands. They have a stripey black and yellow background with "WELLINGTON" on one side and "PHOENIX" on the other.

We've used durable knitted material.

I encourage other fans to make similar ones and bring them along to the match.

Ok decisions are made. Now begins the layout planning. The 3 banners that will be made are:

1. Come Play (years to be finalised by Phoenix experts from the forum - is that you?)

2. 10 MORE YEARS (or variant)

3. Terry: You're hired! (a commission for Phil at RYOS

)

Would appreciate help on working out which years to include in Come Play. Also more comments on 10 MORE YEARS vs. WE WANT 10 and whether to include Arabic text translations on any of them. Cheers folks!

It is 2011-2021.
I can confirm it thanks to AUFFT.

"There are no guarantees beyond 2011 with the AFC unhappy about a team from Oceania playing in an Asian competition which could cost the club its place in the A-League."

So next season could possibly be our last.

The more I think about it the more I think the Arabic is not required. The thing with Arabic is that it looks stupid when enlarged to a size large enough to read on TV in a standard shot. It's a very "wide" script so it just gets elongated (but no more visible) as you enlarge it.

I just printed "Come" onto 12 A4 sheets of paper...

Working on the big shirt. Got something in the works regarding that.

Flares are banned.

I had a thought about one, but not good with catchy phrases. Anyway I thought something along the lines of our All white Nix have got a long flight home but they'll still beat the JET lag (as in the Jets).

Is it ok, or crap?

@Oceanic FWIW I think your idea had merit.

However as I've found with lots of good ideas, it's hard to sum it up in a short sharp catchy statement and still get the message across.

I'm tossing that Jet/Jest lag idea around but not coming up with anything in less than 20 words.

We want 10 perhaps?

The "master" banner has no way to turn back now. I have printed it all out onto A4 sheets and just stuck them together. It is EPIC. Bigger than "Bahrain's Pain" in size, but it still won't take its place in my heart
