Banner Time! COME PLAY 2011 - 2021 Campaign.

Edit:
In the interests of allowing Google to index this page (Mod/Admin may be able to assist by posting up a small piece about what Come Play 2011-2021 is all about) I have renamed the thread title. This is in anticipation of people Googling for it if they happen to catch a look and are confused.
Come Play 2011 - 2021 is a play on the Australian World Cup bid slogan, coined to support the Wellington Phoenix's bid for a 10 year guarantee of its place in the A-League. The Wellington Phoenix is obviously worth a lot to us New Zealand football fans, and the crowd numbers have proved that we are worth a lot to FFA and the A-League too.
More cleverer people will go through the reasons why the 'Nix should remain in the A-League.
Original post to this thread (about 'Nix support banners) appears below:
After the response I got having said I wouldn't make a banner this time around, the guilt has overcome me.I really am short of time but if someone has a brilliant idea for a banner and doesn't have the means or time to do it, then I would be happy to plagiarise your idea and make it mine.I have access to:White sheetBlack spray paintI am thinking about doing something simple (given time restraints) in black lettering on a yellow sheet. Obviously this involves dying my white sheet yellow but I presume this is a fairly easy task??Anyway, I've got the fever once again and I just can't shake it. Help me out here guys
P.S. What banners are you guys planning for Sunday?

in fact a friend made a 'here's to a bloody good season', and they were getting hung up on 'bloody'

Hey I just had a thought - if I made a (nice) statement to FFA about Phoenix in the A-League, then could it be deemed "Political" and banned??
A message to the FFA was just one of the ideas I considered.
P.S. Here is the timeline:
Friday: Need some dyeing action (any idea where I buy the dye??)
Saturday/Sunday: Completely committed. Can't do anything except perhaps prepare some spray painting templates
Sunday night: Deadline for banner ideas. I have to do the bulk of the painting on Monday
Monday: Spray painting
Tuesday: Drying and sewing
Wednesday: Punch holes into banner (sending it to the professionals)
Thursday: Reserve day for the inevitable disaster that strikes me during the course of the creation
Friday: Day of Rest
Saturday: Wave it around or display it somewhere in Wellington
Sunday: D-Day

I was thinking...
a kangaroo saying 'Come Play 2018/2022'
Then a couple of players in stripeys saying 'but we don't have a licence'
Wouyld make it myself, but I won't have the time. Feel free to steal it

Hmmm thinking of making one too perhaps? Don't know what either...
Something political? Otherwise an Ifill or brown sign. Or even captain fantastic or manny. Hmmm
Any ideas for player related signs?

Cheers mate. Unfortunately my kangaroo would end up looking like a giraffe due to a deficiency of artistic talent.

I do however make some pretty good stencil lettering!
This (my) banner is pretty much going to be text only but I am thinking carefully about how to implement the Phoenix FC logo.
So someone else can put their hand up for your idea!

I am quite keen to work "Yellow Fever" into the slogan if at all possible (and if it hasn't already been done to death since 2007).
The banner (I'm talking as if it's actually going to eventuate
) will be a personal momento and snuggle up close to "Bahrain's Pain, All Whites' Gain".

Then what about 'F**k bin Hamman' in Arabic? I'm sure no security guards speak Arabic at the stadium. Tho I'm not really willing to risk it.
Anyone else noticed his name is Bin Ham Man? Picture of a man holding ham in a rubbish bin springs to mind...especially effective when pork is looked down upon in Islam. Apologies to anyone I've offended who is Muslim

going slightly off topic but maybe we could have a Big Yellow & Blag Flag at the front of the Fever like the cove and the northern terrace have. Of course it would only happen if people have time and the stuff required.
Just a suggestion.

What's with all these bitchy banner ideas, not what anyone wants to see during the elation of game day. Ahmad, I really like "10 More Years", it makes the point positively. If you want to be political or licensey - that's the way to go. Otherwise how about just a message of support for the lads?

Any other thoughts on:
10 MORE YEARS
The only problem I can see is that the Phoenix haven't been around 10 years so the "more" may be slightly grammatically incorrect but it could send a message all the same?
Or will it be lost on the general public/SKY commentators?

Agreed. That's why I like the mastercard-esque one chocnut suggested. Simple and non-bitchy, but gets the message across effectively in a way people are very familiar with, though Phoenix ticket should read $35 surely?

It's not that I don't like the Mastercard idea, but it's more a case of I don't have much time to put that much lettering on the banner (and it would be quite small lettering to get it all on.
I am quite keen to incorporate YF if possible so what about:
