Who do you think will win the award for A-leagues best player that nicky carle won last year?

J. Griffiths.  Hate him, but he'll win it.

Incidentally the best players in the A-League last year were Fred and Muscat but if you get sent off you can't be elligible for the award so it went to Carle.

What a bizarre rule - you can have the best season ever, but one moment of madness leading to a red card means you can't be player of the year?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I suspect so... if the refs have not screwed him because of it, I can't see the FFA doing so.

Joel Griffiths will win it. Just as long as Andy Harper doesn't present the Award to him...

Grrrrrrrrrr!

Could be worse. Imagine if Harper had to present it to the man of his dreams, Archie! Think how messy that would get.....

I fear HN that you will be proved correct. Still his scoring record backs him up. I know you'd hate the thought or mere suggestion of it but what if the Nix sign him. Would we all cheer??

At that last game i was yelling out "Ufuk get stuffed" and this guy with kids behind me asked me to watch my language. You should have seen the look on his face when I showed him the team page in the programme and he saw who number 23 really was! Nearly PMSL

Tie between George and Cleberson

Sack Whacker will get it unfortunately. The collective media orgasm over him means the trophy already has his name inscribed on it.

they are having a poll on the Total Football show here as to who the award should be named after. Its out of Alwex Tobin, Frank Farina and John Kosmina.
Kosmina had an awesome scoring record for NSL/Socceroos
