Me, my dad, and my auntie are coming over from Nelson for the Queensland game on the 14th.

What would the best way to get tickets, dad and aunty don't really want to stand up for whole game and kinda have to stay with them but i want to be as close to the fever zone as possible, so how do you get tickets in say aisle 22 23. We don't have a ticketek retailer in nelson, so where would we go game day in Welly where we can choose a seat. Online you don't get to choose..

Don't really wanna get em at stadium coz it'll be a fag queing won't it?

Depends how big the crowd is i guess.

Anyways anything is helpful

Cheers

James Smith building has a ticketek booth.

The stadium should be fine.

if you buy them at the stadium you get random tickets at each booth not sure you can pick your seat, think you can ring ticketek and buy over the phone if you have a credit card then you could ask for the seats you want.

Ticketek is the  best way to go...yeah right

Seriously tho..the outlet at James Smith closes around 12 I seem to recall...although that was for a Saturday match.  Might pay to check over the phone

A small town in Europe........looking to bounce straight back up....well that aint going to happen

There is a ticketek booth at the Michael Fowler Centre.

Beware their advice though.  When I went there from out of town they got the orientation of the stadium 180 degrees wrong.

There is now a thicketek outlet at the New world supermarket a the Wellington rail station.
It is in the coffee shop / cafe in the entrance (rather than inside the supermarket).

The staff there seem OK

gate sales, at least that way you dont give ticketek any money.

last i checked

students $13 and adults $27

you'll need to sneak past the stewards to get into the YF zone though.

usually no que, although you may have to wait 10 minutes

Off topic Ticketek rant (sorry News) but I really hope Tony prints off a few choice Ticketek stories from this message board and takes them to the review meeting I'm sure he'll have with some Ticketek sales numpty at the end of the season.

He probably won't get anywhere, but it would be hilarious to watch the Ticketek Wellington Regional Account Manager (or whoever the moron may be) squirming under a torrent of sh*t publicity.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

exactly. how is it that going to the ticketek office incurrs a $6 booking fee, and yet a ticket booth at the stadium is less??? punishing people for getting there tickets early what the hell sort of an idea is that.

If you buy 10 tickets though, you pay $8 extra over the phone, and $3 extra per student and $4 extra per adult.

It all depends on volume...

My mate and I are coming down for the Sydney game on 4 January. What time does the ticket booth open at the stadium? We're coming down early so can maybe spend a few hours at the Backbencher. Would it be easier to get tickets at the railway station outlet??

you will get a ticket no probs, i think though coz its the final home game it will be a bit busier than normal so would get em at train station mate. or on the net and get em to your house.

I live in Ch-Ch and went to the Perth game a couple of weeks agp. I bought my tickets online at www.ticketek.co.nz and chose the Yellow Fever Zone, and we got 5 tickets in Aisle 22, which I thought were fantastic seats. We stood the entire game, singing, chanting etc. They then email you the tickets in PDF, which you print off, fold over a couple of times, and you scan the barcode as you go in - simple as.

See my experience here - http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=3814

Actually, I don't think it'll be that busy. In fact, it may end up being the smallest crowd of the season, given that a lot of people will probably still be on holiday.

That would be such a shame too. A small crowd sends all the wrong signals. I hope it's a huge crowd, but I have the same concerns I'm afraid.

the kids free deal should help numbers, and we can all twist the arms of any of our out of town visitors - they'll thank us for it!!

edit -that's kids free with a parent

Yep, unfortuantely I'll miss the Sydney game too, but I'm making up for it by going to the Melbourne game at the Telstra Dome on 11 January.

I'll also ensure that some worthy soul borrows my season pass for the Sydney game to keep up the numbers.el grapadura2007-12-18 22:03:39

Could also have the opposite effect with people taking advantage of the holiday period to travel to a Phoenix game. Might be a lot of out of towners. I'll actually be working but have taken a half day annual leave so I can come down.

Any idea when Season tickets go on sale for next season?

After the debacle at the start of this season I'll be keen to get in earlier and secure my seat for the seaon.
