hey all,

just wanted to thank all you guys for the reception us Victory "away" fans received during our stay.

Flew in Thursday and got back this morning.

had a great night out with the yellow Fever at the backbencher on Firday night, to the point we had to put our star player for the supporters match in a cab at 11pm cos he couldnt walk anymore!!

Had a ball playing the match on Saturday and enjoyed the pre match banter at the backbencher on Sunday, even if we were a little outnumbered!

Although I would like to have come home with the three points, a 2-2 draw with almost 15k was a great result for football In Wellington, and heres hoping you guys can build on those results for the rest of the season!

If any of you guys come over for either of the Melbourne matches get in touch with me and we will look after you over here!!

Nath

It was great to have you guys there, good on you for making the trip.

I wonder which team will manage to get the most fans over here?
Phoenix will probably have the smallest away crowds visiting us, it's a long way for those Aussies to come. Don't be put off though, Wellington is party town!

Yeah it was great to see you at the Bencher Friday night.  I'm impressed by your commitment - especially the guy who played the friendly on Saturday with a fractured ankle!  You guys are loyal - I like! (no Borat-type phrase intended, since it's well overused).
See you in Melbourne sometime!

Sign of a true supporter to travel all that way to a new team on the block.

Another Melbourne fan here who watched the game in a pub

Could hear you Yellow Fever boys loud and clear

In fact, was shocked at the levels you have already got in the first game! And I have been reading the forum and your levels of passion are incredible.

Knights felt like sh*t, Phoenix feels like a club. It just has a great vibe to it.

Next project is to get an away trip happening to Melbourne

Get onto it lads

Melbourne was founded by explorers (not convicts) and prospered on GOLD (as opposed to Yellow)  ..

Isn't Melbourne and Wellington a lot closer than Melbourne and Perth?  And I mean that geographically and in personality
