In interesting news (and vaguely staying relevant to the A-League), Pim is putting YF's favourite striker, Joel Griffiths, in the green and gold tonight and he'll be a starter so he can show what he's all about. Hopefully that doesn't include punching a linesman in the nuts and embarassing his country, or getting a red card like he did in his last game for Avispa Fukuoka.
You'll also get to see Captain Kewell trying to impress in an international so that he doesn't end up playing for Perth Glory. There'll also be other fringe players trying to prove their worth.
Despite that, you (read: I) will be happy to hear that long time star of the Australia squad and new Fulham recruit Mark Schwarzer will be between the sticks.
Should be a good game, and yes, I know the only reason you would care is if the aussies got slaughtered. Oh well :)

Crap game. The A-League players were completely out of their depth and played sh*te. Shows how far the league has to go still.
1-0 to the Socceroos btw for anyone who didn't watch it. Ghana should've had 2 penalties though.
Kewell SHOULD be playing for Perth after that invisible performance. (though admittedly there was no service from the likes of Jedinak. Really needed Culina)
J. Griffiths didn't whack the balls (or the football) all night. Barely touched it.
