Massive and it would have made for a nice break for the staff too. Job well handled sir!
From Ronald McDonald House and the family, it is stuff like this email that makes what we are doing here so worth it!
Happy Monday to you and the Yellow Fever crew,
One of our long standing family’s took the opportunity to head off to the game yesterday. They especially got a baby sitter to look after their 12 month old little girl.
They currently also have a baby in the Neonatal Unit as well, and are here for the long hall as baby was born at 25 weeks old. They have been with us for about 4 months now.
Quote from Aleisha the lucky Mum:
“The atmosphere was really cool, it was so nice to get out of the House and have something to look forward to. Me and Jack have never watched a Football game before, so was really cool to see one live. Thank you so much for supporting us to go”
Ronald McDonald House posted this today which is the mum (Alisha) and her daughter from the game last weekend.

This week before I went away I dropped off all the stuff for another family to attend the game tomorrow, I rang them when I found out the time of the game had been moved so they know the game is now at 5pm. Hopefully if weather is as bad as it sounds, they will still be ok to attend. Disappointed for myself that I'll now miss the game with the earlier kick off time, but it can't be helped.
So I must admit I was worried that the family this week wouldn't attend due to the weather I was hearing about on Twitter (I was down in sunny Nelson). But this time is was just the parents of a premature child, they posted on Facebook the below thank you.
"Thanks to Ronald McDonald House and all the wonderful sponsors and volunteers. Neville and I had a great time at the soccer this evening watching Phoenix beat Adelaide 2-1. We were lucky to have pretty good weather at the Hutt for the game and had got back to the car just as it poured down. A lovely 'date' night while we are away from home with the lovely Maddi (our teeny bubba hanging out in NICU)."
I've also updated my signature to have photos of some of the people that we have had attend our games. We have a 100% record at home with a Ronald McDonald House family in attendance, long may it continue!
I never get tired of reading those emails from the families mate.

I absolutely LOVE that statistic too!

Me too, love getting the emails and seeing the pictures. Think we have got some good karma with what we have done here.
You reap what you sow and you now have made a few families very happy, that alone is most worthy.
Great work as always Yakcall. Given our win record with them in attendance maybe we can all pitch in to start sending RMH families to away games too ;)
bwtcf to sponsor a family to a game for each one he lost by attending.

Love that signature mate. I hope seeing all those smiles makes all the hard work and effort you have put in to this feel really worthwhile!

I love getting the messages and photos from the families, makes what we are doing so real.
you have achieved something very worthwhile. Good on Ya!
Stolen idea, next up they will be stealing cars too. A red and black Mercedes for example.
3rd prize looks most appealing.
But honestly it's got nothing on what you and those who've donated to feverdreams have done.
We have another family lined up for the game this Sunday, so maybe even with our players away they will help keep our record at home going. I'll be dropping the stuff off to Ronald McDonald House tomorrow and it'll be nice for them to have the car park at the stadium and lounge passes again.
Thought this was cool, RMH has started using there twitter account again.
@Yakcall @WgtnPhoenixFC ... and a special family at that! You will be hard pressed to find more patriotic Phoenix Fans #strongertogether

I'm surprised that this effort hasn't been picked up by any media bar the RMH posting on their FB page. Surely campbell live or the daily news would love this feel good kinda story.
This deserves more publicity.
We did get an article in the Dom Post back when we started it. Brandon is working on something and hopefully from that we might get a second wave of publicity but we will have to see.
Kind of don't want to say what it is yet so we don't jinx it.
So heard from the RMH family at last nights game. They are very grateful for being able to head to the game. They really enjoyed and appreciated being able to get out and having something to look forward to and for a change of scene from the Hospital.
On another note, the person I have done most of my communication with is leaving Ronald McDonald House, so will need to start new conversations with someone else each week, but don't expect any problem with them still finding families for the games and they are already looking for a family for the next game on Sunday.
Awesome to hear that families are still enjoying this. Brilliant work matt keeping it all running, and good luck with your new contact :)
In what we all think maybe our finest season, this one is a finest moment. Very proud of Yakall doing all this. It is an honour to have met you.
Thank you very much Andy!
I'd also like to thank Brandon, I've been nominated for the FFDU Football Supporter of the Year for the work done here.
We have put together a summary of what we've done here and we have a letter of support from the Phoenix and one coming from RMH that we will submit to FFDU this week. The nomination is then assessed by SBS, Fox Sports, Four Four Two, FMA and ABC radio where hopefully I'll be chosen as a finalist.
This is a big honour for me and is way more than I expected for doing this as I have really enjoyed running FeverDreams and what we have achieved, but I'm hoping I do become a finalist and maybe, just maybe we can get more publicity about how great YellowFever and its members are!
Fantistic job Matt.Good luck.
Well done Matt.
So we got a letter from Ronald McDonald House and it is amazing. Feels so good the work we have done with Fever Dreams
Hope you get recognised by FFDU Matt. Not clear in the letter but would be good for FFDU to know that it is EVERY home game that this done for a family.
Thanks Junior! They will know it's every game as Brandon has put together a great document of everything that has been done including pictures and a letter from the Phoenix. Really hoping I become a finalist for it so we can promote it more.
That deserves a 'Fudge yeah'
This, for me, is simply the whole #FeverDreams thing summed up in one photo.
Heard from the family and got this lovely email and photos.
Dear Matt and Yellowfever
I am writing to thank you for your generous gift of tickets, lounge passes, scarves and dinner money, for the match on Sunday.
Unfortunately the Phoenix lost the game, however it was still a welcome distraction for us from Ronald MacDonald and the Neonatal Unit. My husband and I have been here since 15 January as one of our twin daughters has a condition and requires care.
Please see attached some photos of the night and of our beautiful daughters. Once again thanks so much for the opportunity, we thoroughly enjoyed the night.
Best regards
Genevieve & Elliot Brunton
Please don't stop posting these, it's great to see the happy families as a result of your hard work.
Got a family sorted for tonight?
Also I have been announced as a finalist in the FFDU awards for Supporter of the year! Thank you Brandon for the nomination.
Keep up the great work (and let me know if there's ever anything I can do to help).
Cheers
Surge/Cory/Smithy/Chopper/Trevor.
Great stuff and well deserved.
