Apart from selling glue what has Brian been doing in the last few years to make him an asset to the Nix?

He was with the team last week. When we won. Good enough reason.

I can remember him playing with RH in the Mt Wellington team of 1980, when he was the veteran striker and Ricki a raw centreback. He was controversial then, not much loved by opposition supporters as I recall. I can still remember him pile driving the upright in a memorable 5-1 demolition of then arch rivals Hanimex North Shore. Plus his headed opening goal away to Indonesia in the '82 campaign was the start of something big. On TV I thought he'd aged pretty well. Arrrrh, the memories.

You got that right! I spent most of my late teens hating him.

GREAT player!!

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.
