Hey Chaps,
Bit of a cheapskate question:
Is there anywhere I can buy ticket for a home game and not incur the Ticketek Tax? Can you get a $23 ticket for $23 at the stadium on game day or the ticketek shop at Michael fowler maybe?
Cheers.

Buy a season Ticket, pay one off fee and less than $20 a game, otherwise no. They have you by the short and curlies

Bummer, can't make enough of the games to make it worthwhile unfortunately, the Nix Six ticket looks tempting tho.. $101 (+ whatever ticketek want to charge) for 6 games
Trying to avoid paying someone for their services...Terry, is that you?
Buy a kid's silver ticket and then sit in the gold zone.
Win twice over!

If the cost was justified I'd take the hit, will likely have to anyway but $5.25 (23% of the ticket price) and then Credit card fee as well for them to send me an email with a ticket attachment seems harsh to me. i know you heart bleeds for me right :-)
Apparently they charge $3 per ticket if you buy in person at the ticketek shop.
What do you mean if the cost was justified?. Do you want to see the Nix or not? and once your in its probably 4 beers, pot of chips, and then the donut girl walks past and to hell with cost ....ffs

Like I said i'll likely pay it, and will have to as there is no choice but it still seems odd to me that I have to give a third party company $6 so I can go see the Phoenix. Guess i'm just used to the British deal with the club ticket office or use cash turnstile methods..
I shall almost certainly partake in beers and chips, but at least I get to decide that.
And as for the Donuts girl, not bad.. but i doubt she'd be interested in a whiny bitch who whinges about a $6 surcharge right :-p

If the nix did it the charge would probably be more because they couldn't do it as efficiently. Ticketek do a lot of events. But yeah they still provide a service, which is something people forget.
No doubt there are better ways to charge the fee that would annoy people less though. Remember a thread about it a while ago on here actually (or maybe it was twitter) with some good suggestions.

Take cash to the gate and look for someone selling a ticket. You'll almost always find one. Too easy.
