Greg who? Shame we never got to see him. Good luck and nice to see the club trying to get him into regular footy too.

No surprise on Kwasnik either.

A bit of a fall from grace for Kwassy, once leading goalscorer for CCM, transferred and then not wanted by another A-League club... How his season could have been different had he not hit that crossbar.

totally agree. It could have taken that one goal to fire him up but o well. off to ccm he will go.
wish Greg had been given a run at some point. He seemed quite good playing for NZ

Wish them both well - Kwassy didn't work out but I never doubted the guys commitment. Pity we didn't get to see Draper play but.......

Reading this together with the artcile on the 2 UK based strikers and the shopping trip to Brazil it's great to see the club getting stuck in to filling key gaps and raising the standard of the squad.

Already getting excited about next season.
He dribbles a lot and the opposition dont like it - you can see it all over their faces. (Ron Atkinson)

Kawssie....little bit expected.

Shame about Drapes, he's a top lad too.

Why can't them convicts just let us have a youth team?

I say tackle him in the face.

Gutted, Kwaniks chancs were limited to short amounts of game time, mostly warming the bench. A hell of a nice guy as well. Draper, I can understand and frankly, that we are not allowed a youth/reserve team to play as well, is disgusting on FFA's part.

Kwasnik may not have gotten all the chances he needed but what the hell in a league where there are not that many games you have to take those chances and unfortunately he didnt..so bye bye

So we'll be getting two new youth to not even get close to sitting on the bench next year then? Where from? I'm gutted about Drapes.

if we can't have a youth team we shouldn't have to fill squad places up with useless youth players Oska2009-02-04 17:52:25

Exactly the same with him and Royce Brownlie.  Both hit the bar for us in the first game of each season and had each shot gone in their careers with the Phoenix would have been drastically different (Brownlie was not given a fair shot with the Phoenix at all).

I think I remember Greg getting a run in the last 10 mins of an away game season 1. I think it was him

Yea, the second last one.

Though he seems to have had 2 appearances. Maybe the last one as well. I can't remember much about that one.

We need a back-up keeper and an U-20.

Jake Gleeson for Phoenix.
