Hey team

We wanna get behind this years CanTeen Bandanna drive.  You know the drill.  We're gonna get some bandannas in team colours and you lot are gonna buy them.
In addition, this year, we'd like to help out by getting some volunteers together to help with this years street appeal.

The main appeal is Friday 20 September in the central Wellington area.  There are other dates for other parts of the region so if you're not located in the city you can still help.

If you can spare an hour or two of your Friday (or want to know the other collection dates) please email canteen@yellowfever.co.nz and I can send details to my contact at CanTeen.

Last year for the first game day the Nix organised a pre-game meet up in the civic square and then a (quick) march to the stadium.

Heaps of yellow and black bandanas sold at the square.  Anything similar (or maybe at the family open day at the stadium ... I think there was still going to be that as well as tomorrow)?

CanTeen Wellington, New World Railway Metro, All White Leo Bertos and Wellington Airport fire fighters are teaming up to raise awareness for CanTeens annual appeal Bandanna Challenge.

Bandanna Challenge runs from September 13 to 29 with Wellington’s main appeal day on Friday 20.

Railway Metro will be hosting CanTeen for a kick for goal activity and a head shave outside their store in the Wellington Train Station from 3.30pm till 5pm on Friday.

Prizes for the event include double passes to Wellington Phoenix games and random giveaways.

CanTeen Wellington Sibling Member Grace Huang will be shaving her hair at 4.30pm to raise funds.

Yellow and Black bandannas signed by All White and Wellington Phoenix player Leo Bertos will be available for purchase.

I'll make sure my Bro' buys one for me, so I can wear when I can hopefully get down to Welly for a couple of games,

In the meantime, talking about Yellow Bandanas.

In Aussie they have two dollar hookers! The 12th Man made reference to one in one of his commentaries. "She went down quicker than a $2 Hooker" $5 for an extremely worthy cause.
