Bought my flights to Wellington for the world cup qualifier match.

Now hows about a reschedule of the Perth match currently set for November 8th, to November 13th??

Another double header weekend.....

The NZ reps probably wouldn't play the Perth match on the sunday prior to the match anyway I suspect...

Not going to happen.

1, We are trying to get the Adelaide game changed for the Iraq friendly.  Why would we choose to be under strength ?

2, Perth won't want to play either as Australia will probably be playing that weekend.

Obviously can't speak for Perth's reps as I doubt they'd be stood down for a friendly.

If I recall correctly, the Adelaide game got about 18,000 fans to it for the Galaxy combo. Granted that was a 2 for 1 ticket deal.

Putting the difficulities of logistics aside for a moment, a Friday night game would  defintely be a good cash earner for the team if they could pull it off.

I'd be surprised if the NZ match sold less than 25,000 - assuming NZ don't get it horribly wrong in October. Getting those punters to buy a seperate ticket and come a night earlier would be worth while to Wellington as well as the team. Probably not Perth though - Terry didn't become a millionaire without charm and negotiation skills.

I understand these things are extremely difficult to deal with, but management would be letting themselves down if they didn't seriously consider it.

Who knows, maybe they already have...

someone mentioned that club matches can't be played in international windows... oh well. I'm still coming down a night early, love Wellington.

Yeah but I don't want any of our Kiwi players weak for the BIG game. And I don't want our Phoenix having to play nobodies because the AW's are away and then lose.

The  tickets would'nt be put as a 2 4 1 so I think the Phoenix would only lose numbers because I know lots of people who wouldn't be keen on Fri nite as well as an expensive Sat

Agree, but I'm still not sure whether the All White players would play on the Sunday or be in camp somwhere?

Doesn't matter as I know they won't rearrange the game. I'd like to think the players would get much needed game time over conditioning (aka allblacks 2007).

I wouldn't be bothered if it was rescheduled. Changed my leaving date from Wellington when the WCQ was announced in that city. Glad Glory got Wellington the week before, to make attending feasible.

However Perth has bigger issues, like moving the game against Sydney away from the sh*t hole.
